Alpine Type R 10" vs. Rockford P2 10"

@funyjunks Thats laughable. There isnt a new (within the last few years) rockford subs. Rockford sold out and puts giant ass magnet covers on their subs now. I could build a box for 1 type r that would blow 2 fosgates away. even tuned the same. Fosgate blows fat baby dick

fi are good and cheap the bl or btl are good and will get window flex if you make the right box... but DD if you want to pay alot but shake anything about 2 blocks away

@theps3hacka Really man. That was a horrible comment. I know loud systems that are constructed with both. The BTL is a very nice sub and so are most DD. There are many different models of DD and you can order a BTL in a bunch of configurations. For example you can get a loaded, fully loaded, N2, or UFO BTL just to name a few. There are DD subs that suck serious balls. For example the 2500 series are awful. The 3500 series is awesome and the 3500 and 9500 SC are simple awe inspiring.

@cotyballs Yes the DD are very expensive and the BTL is a semi comparable option. Personally I would run either of these subs but for a burp I would chloose the DD 9500 series which is twice the sub of a BTL and for music I would probably choose the BTL over the more comparable 3500 series. The loudest man on the planet is burping a rediculous amount of power on two DD subs. Craig Butler.  Check him out. Hell I just did a build for 6 3518 SC Digital Designs. Its a monster.

I <3 my type R 15. Its a little too much for my GTO. Wait I just said too much bass lol what am I saying.

btw my sub and box weigh like 67 pounds if I remember right.

It's really hard with looking at the name brands we grew up with and looked up to and even bragged about how they are cutting corners and actually even the type Rs had a tear down video I was going to buy either solo X L7 kickers or alpine type X or type Rs but in 15" but I c the videos and they are cutting many critical corners :( damn

@MrPep469 Yeah my best advice would be to go with a up and coming company. Not a huge franchise. Sundown, AQ, DD, AA, FI, and many other good companys are out there. I love my AQ's but u get what you pay for. They arent the best made and cant take much more than 1500 watts all day. I put about 3400 to a pair and they can get stinky quick

@MrPep469 Nice. I am really not a fan of rockford anymore. Their old school subs are amazing but the new stuff has huge magnet covers to not show how small the magnets actually are. Audiofanaticz did a good vid of this. He actually tore one apart and compared it to alot of subs. Not good for fosgate
