The 2nd Gen has everything the 1st had minus the flip headlights and 20 more horsepower and 2 more lbs of boost stock, and it's not the same engine. Yes it's the same model engine the 6G72, bit instead of the 2 bolt 18 spline its a 4 bolt 25 spline. I own a 94 VR4 and love it. Check out my videos of the car. I'll have more up later on.
@skater334 thanks for the corrections, do you know if the imported versions have all of the same features, I know they produce more power because we don't have panzie horsepower limits in america
the hood caps on the first generation are there to add 2 more inches of hood space for the suspension, the 2nd generation fixed the problem by shaping the hood itself.
no I haven't, Ive Heard that they improved some components on the 2nd gens engine, but its the same block, and I don't think that the 2nd gen has the all wheel steering
it all depends on your preference, the first gen has more of the retro box style look to it, and it has more lines than curves. and the second gen is more rounded and aero dynamic looking. its like the difference between the C4 and C6 Corvette, one is boxy with pop up headlamps, and the other is round with flush headlamps

@AZREDFERN Yes they all the same features, just the models sold in Europe have 13G turbos stock, vise the 9b turbos.
