Valdes tipped it on to the one area he couldn't tap it in. Good game that was, and Soldado has unbelievably good movement when playing off CB's. In it's own way it's very like how Ian rush would do it.

I think that when it was crossed, soldado went down to tap it in, right before it got to him it was deflected by valdes n there was no way for him to adjust once he had gone down lol still...unlucky!

No no no guys. It's actually bad. Look at the replay. He sees the ball and tries to tap it in. Yes, the ball takes a deflection. But he's a professional striker. He's league top scorer for god sake. For some reason, he slides, his body shape is all wrong and misses it. Should have used his left foot. Not saying he's not good. Just my opinion about the situation.

If you look VERY good, you can see that Valdes is touching the ball a little and than the ball goes a little bit forward, so Soldado can't hit the ball very good with his foot, and he missed. Just bad luck for Soldado.
