  • Lord!!!!MS introduced God to us like no one did,too awesome Lord!!!

I understood that God means infinite love from MS amma,I felt it actually :))

  • To conceive the Form, Opulence, Beauty or Strength of Lord Rama is impossible. He expands Himself into the formless Brahm-drava by His inconceivable energies and pervades the spiritual sky as well as the sum total material creation. Thereafter, He expands into millions upon millions of Visnus Who enter each universe, and in turn, expand into innumerable avatars. Sri Ramacandra is the beloved of Sri Shankara and the two Lords should always be worshiped by the followers of vedas. Jai Sri Raghunath

  • I saw everyone else's renditions, but MS tops them all.Not comparing but its implanted in our heads that MS = voice of bhakti.Cannot help it.

  • The Sanskrit verse is the first verse of Tulasidasa's Ramacharitmanas.

    शान्तं शाश्वतमप्रमेयमनघं निर्वाणशान्तिप्रदं

    ब्रह्माशम्भुफणीन्द्रसेव्यमनिशं वेदान्तवेद्यं विभुम्

  • When Sri Ramacandra was lost, looking for His Hladini Sakti, Sri Seeta, even the Mother of the universe,Sri Jagadamba was bewildered !! Such is the leela of the divine lord Sri Ramacandra !! May all glories go to Him, the pivot of all existence !!! The beloved of Sri Shiva acts as the son of Dasharatha !!! How confounding !! No one except those who are absolutely perfect can understand the greatness of This Primeval Lord, the origin of the great Purusha,Mahavisnu ! Jai Sri Rama !

  • Can anyone tell me where the utsava murti shown in the video is situated? It is very beautiful.

  • Very beautiful

  • This is a beautiful composition on Lord Rama. MS pays a royal tribute to the song and in her utter and total faith and obediance to the Lord Rama who when he wed Sita became the Lord of the Lords and the King of kings....

  • She sings of Lord Ramacandra whom even Brahma and Sambhu cannot help but think of always.. Marvellous.Just absolutely heart warming..Ms Amma,I salute your devotion and your artistry.

  • I am proud of your contributution by way of singing glory of lord Rama. Kindly sing on same pattern for Lord Hanumana and Lord Krishna and lord Sai Ram

  • what ragam is it in?

    sindhubhairavi?

  • yes, this is in Raga Sindhu BHAIRAVI

  • SHRI SHRISITAYEPATEYE NAMAH

  • what is the name of that instrument in the background that's matching her voice during the intro portion? Not the harmonium, but the bassoon sounding thingy?

  • It's the Violin. Violin and Mridingam (the drum) are the most important instruments in any Carnatic Music rendering.

  • Er, no. It's a tanpur.

  • Its called a Taanpuraa/Thaampura consisting of 4 strings which are played constantly to provide the base note for the singer to base their composition on. Taanpuraa & Mridangam are the oldest forms of accompaniments for Carnatic Vocal, the Violin coming in later. Taanpuraa and Pakhawaj are the oldest accompaniments for Dhrupada Vocal in the North. Later than that the Sitar (based on a persian instrument) was made from the Rudra/Saraswati Veenas. Only Much later did the Harmonium come.

  • Jai! Well done with the answer. All glories to internet service to Lord Krishna's devotees.

I just LOVE Vedic culture, songs, philosophy, and lifestyle. What richness! and the Holy Name still to be discovered for most people.

HareKrishna Hare Rama Hari Nama Hari Nama Hari Nama eve kevalam

  • Thampura

  • the one matching her voice is violin, which I think is not visible in the video.

the other two, long ones are thamburas (for shruti)

  • nothing matches ms amma's voice, imitates, but not match

  • Tampuran.

  • Jai Shree Ram
