Slayer's song structures are entirely different, they rely more on rigorous solo sequences with crusading riffs, most metal songs rely on a similar drumming style as Slayer, it doesn't make it a thrash exclusive phenomena and as for vox it's a straightup fry scream, nothing particularly thrashy about that, it's a hardcore trait. They are definitely metalcore, they're 80% metalcore, 10% clean vox, 10% bad municipal waste riff.
