  • Wonderful show full of life, beauty, tenderness and humour. Sylvie is definitely one of a kind, the greatest of all dancers and A. Kahn is marvellous as well. Their partnership sparkles.

"Sacred MOnsters" will be in Paris beginnings of January 2012 at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées from January 5th 2012 to January 9th 2012. A unique opportunity to see Sylvie in Paris where she will return in March 2012 as well at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées for her new show "Sylvie Guillem 6000 miles away".

  • Does anybody know the name of the song ????

  • sorry can somebody give me the name of this music piece or the artist name?? thank you a lot!!!

  • shes one of the best dancers i've ever seen

  • what is the music

  • I love the music , the choreography, the lightning, the outfits and the dancing well... is simply amazing! Ms Guillem's art is absolutely breathtaking, poetry in motion!!!! Thank you very much for sharing.

  • Sylvie is a great dancer... but this work is so weak... She shouldn`t do that with her carrer.

  • 0:36 37... great

  • I would say that the show is refreshing and embraces you in a warm wave....Sylvie and Abrham are two great artists but the piece misses a true CLIMAX. But, isn't THAT a general problem of the arts nowadays?!?!? We must get used to it probably......(-:

  • sylvie is an amazing contemporary / modern and classical dancer !!

  • she is a beautiful dancer everybody would kill somebody for her legs and feet! But she isn't the best at doing contemporary/modern

I've saw a lot people doing it better. Ofcourse her body makes it look so amazing but I've seen a lot dancer with a lot more flow and dynamics

  • agreed. guillem is simply stunning. but this show was precocious rubbish: the dialogue was dramatically awful, and there was not enough dance. i seriously wanted to walk out. pretentious guff

  • She's just one of a kind. She sooo much more then just pointed feet and six o'clocks. Her openess towards other style's of dancing is admireable, and a great example.

  • The DVD for this arrived today,on my doorstep. Buy at Sadlers Wells website. You know you want to...

  • hi Sarah

are you saying the DVD of this show is available?

can you please let me know where to find it? I saw the show in Paris and it was amazing

    thanks a lot Val

  • love the music, dancing, choreography, everything!

  • I love the first three seconds when she simply points her foot.

  • she is also a good contemporary/modern dancer

  • отпад!!

  • what's that song in second film?

  • Awesome - man and woman

  • lin and guillem are both great artists in dancing world.

  • esto es danza integral, nutritiva para el alma

y llama a la humildad y madurez espiritual

    hermoso.

    gracias!!

  • Diva... Godness. The Queen ...

  • I love Sylvie - she is an amazing woman.

I think this contemporary work just judging from the posts is a 50/50 split. You either hate it or love it. I'm a Guillem fan and despite being biased, I really do feel that this is not bad at all. Mind u...I've only seen this 50 sec excerpt. This excerpt from my opinion was pretty cool and shows how virsatile and adaptive Miss Guillem is.

  • Sylvie is as ingenius, virtuoso, and physically magical as she always has been. The problem is that her contemporary male partners have all been unworthy to share the stage with her. It makes for totally asymmetric presentation imo and simply doesn't look as good. You wind up just waiting for her solos.

(And no, I am not saying they are bad dancers, and no, I cannot do better, but none have been nearly as physically skilled as she, hence the asymmetry)

  • i seriously have no words after seeing sylvie in this performance. i am disgusted, terrified, i'm done.

  • great

  • I have seen it at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, and I found it poor in comparison with other Guillem's performances. There was not a lot of dance, too many talks and stupid ones. The music was completely neutral, quickly forgettable, the dance as well. When dancers just express themselves, the result is close to nothing. Guillem in Raymonda was astonishing because she was dancing for a cause, a choregraphy and a character. There, she is left alone and circling in vacuity. A dead end.

  • Un espectaculo para disfrutarlo

  • OMG! I just came back from this, and It was just amazing! The way she has her legs straight up the air! It's awesome! The show was funny too... I love it! Ver Inspirational and Amazing! Great stuff!

  • i have watched this show in thessaloniki.. they are sooo great.both of them , on their own special way... TOP

  • my goodness! i'm fan from Sylvie Guillem till 80's, when i saw for the first time. and this last work, sacred monsters, is the first time also that a break my hands clapping, and crying...remembering us the importance of do the things, create like the children do, with passion, illusion and specially playing...silvie, you help to me to unblock my creations from this day, thank you...

  • So talented..Her flexibility makes movement so fluid and effortles.Truly amazing versitile dancer

  • stupid it's the most inventive and beautiful performance ever since a long time may be you were sleeping !!!

  • best ballet I ever attended - loved it!

  • I was also lucky enough to see this at Sadlers Wells a few months ago - a truly extraordinary experience; for me, simply the most exciting, moving, uplifting dancing i have ever had the joy to witness.

It was surely no coincidence that, as we were leaving the auditorium, virtually every face i found had tears in their eyes..

Mesmerisingly, hauntingly, astonishingly graceful; a night that forces ones *living* to finally become *live*

  • any longer clips of this peace please?

  • nope. cos its copyright protected. sorry. =)

  • .. OK, but then please let us know how we can see it/buy it in its entirety?

  • anyone has a longer extract of this piece ? i am in Lyon and the show just got cancelled because of a storm, i am sooo frustrated

  • !! I was there too. But I came from Paris just for that.. so I am really, reaaally sad. But I am glad we got to see her anyway, when she went on stage with akram to apologize. Right now I wonder.. maybe I'll go back on saturday.
