@DBelleMusic The person that created Premiere pro 1-3 is the same person that creates Final Cut Pro. They both feel and do the same things with minor differences. In Premiere pro, you can even switch the keyboard buttons layout to act exactly like Final Cut Pro 7. If you like FCP 7 than it will be an easy transition to switch to Pr 5.5. It's worth it.

@andylinkproductions Why don't you ask yourself.. It's up to preference.. I myself love Vegas Pro 11. I have tried every other videoediting software but nothing beat Vegas for what i needed to do.. Why don't u grab a trial of both and compare..

how do you cut/split the video?

@CrazyBich800 This is not exactly what you asked for, but this method can be used.

When editing your clip in the editing space top middle, then select the spot from where you want to start the seperate clip and press "i" and select where you want the end of the clip, press "o". You should now be able to cut that piece of video inbetween the two points to your video track by draging the clip down.

I really think this is an excellent tutorial I just cant really understand you very well just try to speak a little more clearly and dont stutter as much just takes a little practice and it helps to have what you want to say written out beforehand.
