That looks like a really nice preserve. I need to get there among many others sometime. So this was Wednesday? It was cold that day. I hope you dressed warm.

Yeah it was cold but as long as I'm walking I dont feel it.

Pretty cool. Lichen is cool stuff. You might get lucky and find 3 or 4 kinds growing together. Other lichens you might find are Awl Lichen, Pyxie Cups Lichen and Thorn Lichen (sort of resembles Reindeer Lichen).

If you get yourself that Pine Barrens Field Guide, you can learn about all the stuff you might find in the Pine Barrens. The more things you see, the cooler it becomes.
