  • @ 0:38 "EY!! YOU WALKED RIGHT THROUGH ME SHOT MATE!! DO YOU KNOW WHO THE HELL I AM?!?"

  • if i am t.right it was 102 wagons that this locs pulld

so that means this train was 1.62 miles long

    thats indeed very impersive guys

  • sweet!

  • That's a lot of horse power

  • imagine being late having to wait for this thing to pass lol

  • Train video brought to you by GMC~!

  • aswsome horn

  • Impressive!! And great video too! Well done!

  • Great video. I grew up across the tracks from the old station at Waconda Rd (north of Salem) from 1970 to 1989. My mom and brother still live there. I have seen trains this long ro longer several times over the years.

When I was a kid the line was operated by Burlington Northern (before they merged with Santa fe). They ran alot of trains on that line. I miss the old BN green & white paint scheme.

  • if an ambulance arrives at the crossing when it closes... out of luck for the patient !

  • Veddy Veddy nicely shot Video Ervans! Impressive Length Indeed!

  • Reminds me of the old Elvis song "Train Train" or something like that.

Producer Ervans thanks for the excellently shot video and audio.

That was one long Motha' of a train indeed! Nice 1.

  • heh nice vid, greetings from poland. But why in every video we see 5 or 6 locomotives??? in our country for 30 wagons we use one loco....

  • 1:17 looked like you where on the tracks :O

  • The most I've ever seen was 4 engines at once... they are rare nowadays, I with one exception in February 2009 (which I remember mentioning to you in fact), I haven't seen them frequently since 1997...

  • I have never in my entire life have I seen a very 6 engines long freight train before! A+ shot for you! Nice one!

  • @ericerock1000 come to Flagstaff, AZ - we get them coming through all the time with 6+ engines

  • My grade for this train video A+ thanks for posting i love trains!

  • would look good time lapse !

  • The Best reality video :)

  • Awesome horn 5*****

  • Nice location

  • How ironic, the RR sounds came as soon as a BNSF train came by where I live XD

  • Fantastic machines.

  • Does anyone care to take a guess of how much combined horsepower taht was with those 6 Loco's?

  • About 20,000 HP

  • @ervans

You mean those weak ass old SF GP 30's?

  • @ervans

1 loc has 4 000horsepower so it is 24 000 horsepower in total

very heavy this train if it goes its normal speed need 4 miles to stop

  • @pitbullgabber . You need to check your specs. I wish these had 4000 horsepower a piece. You are thinking of AC units and big UP power. None of our stuff has this much power. try around 2300 or so.

  • What kind of horn is that??

  • I think a K5LA

  • I believe, if you are standing in front of this level crossing you think that this train will never end. I don't think that here in Germany are so long trains as in America! Thank you for this video!!!

  • Thanks

  • muy buen video

  • Thanks

  • Nice vid. Got a good angle on that one

  • Thank you

  • OMG it has 81 carriages

  • I think so

  • @fakeyasir The UP runs 100+ past my house all the time between Oakland and Roseville.

  • verry nice video it was verry long train beautiful 5* and favorites

  • Thank you

  • Thanks for the comment

  • How Often do they use these tracks? I might be heading out there!

  • About 5 times a day

  • Muslims Pray .. they go to Majid / Mosque 5 time a Day ..

  • the one by the river they use hardly at all and the other one they use alot

  • Great video, it reminds me of last summer here in Ga. I was on my motorcycle waiting on the train and it was like 100 outside and I have my black helmet on. I thought I was going to die!

  • when the front end arrives the back end is just setting off wow what a long train!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • I think those were all GP38-2 or GP40-2. ^_^

  • The BNSF 3130 is a GP50

  • My fav locomotive is the SD40-2! they are the best i also like the AC44000

  • I love trains but semi trucks are better, trucks can go anywhere trains have to just stay on the track and afterthey offl oad their freight trucks have to take it anyway! By the way those are awsome locomotives! ^_^ super power!

  • Thanks

  • God Bless Train Conductors

  • Just think how life would be without trains... All those extra semi trucks clogging up the highways

  • Good point

  • That's a lotta train. I too like trains. My videos, though, aren't of trains. Yet.

  • Thanks

  • ya that is a pretty long train. Once i was camping up on a ridge that was basically directly above the tracks and it was cool because the trains were heading into a city but were still going really fast. Though one at about midnight a train was bookin it into the city and suddenly the conducter pulled all the breaks and it came to a screaching halt scaring the shit out of everybody

  • Thanks for the comment

  • this is one of the best videos you have ever done great job ervans!!

  • Thank you

  • lol id like to see this one from the air

  • Yes, maybe I can get a shot from a high building around there.

  • Why six engines? Pulling power for steeper grades, added range or is this just an abnormally long train?

  • This is the longest train I've seen on this line so I would say that's why

  • ahhhhh my head just popped the fuck off.

    crazy shit

  • i grew up with a union pacific line running through my backyard. i saw many trains as long as this one. i think the longest i saw, was around 100 cars.

  • This one goes along my backyard

  • @ervans you are lucky that you have such a backyard, a great sense of photography... the Canon people should appoint you as their brand ambassador! keep up the great work, friend

  • Thank you

  • i like your location is this the first video you have shot there?

  • Yes, my first answer was no because I didn't see notice which video you were commenting about.

  • it looked like the train was coming at you for a min lol great video tho!! 5 stars

  • Thank you

  • Now theres some serious diesel power!!

  • Thanks

  • Great video! That is one awesome lashup! Was the BNSF power leased?

  • Thanks, I'm not sure it might be a BNSF it had a lot of BNSF cars

  • @RailfanDaniel I did find out it is leased

  • that's an absoute record in train length. Here in Switzerland I did see a freighttrain with 4 engines and 67 cars waiting, and after heading off in Sevelen (Rhine Valley).

  • thanks for the comment

  • 76 wow

  • 81 cars

  • Superb, thanks

  • Thanks

  • O.o

Impressive, imagine the weight of the load!!!!

    Lol

  • I'm thinking 1,350,000 lbs

  • never jump in front of a main line train wavving red flags......its a bad idea i know

  • what u do?

  • my freind thot it would be funny to sit at the railroad crossing near are live steam club waving a big red flag back n forth when the daily freight came through and mad a dead stop right in frot of him. the crew came out and had some words with him its pretty funny and on video!

  • nice! whats the video?

  • WOW.. That Train Is Hauling, Big Time,

i dont know Train Talk, but i sure do wonder whats in those ( cylinders ?)

  • I don't know what's in them

  • The most engines I've seen has been 5. But I've counted as high as 120 cars before.

  • I had never seen 6 before, but the last few days there has been 6 engines a number on times

  • good job E

  • Thanks

  • sweet keep up the good work i give you six stars ******

  • Well the train is going on the road

  • Thanks

  • Can you even imagine how much all that must weigh? It's no wonder those 6 engines are only doing 12mph.

  • Thanks for the comment

  • I'm thinking around 1,400,000 lbs
