- Market Square with big area of fruit, vegetable, fish and meat stalls

- Plečnik's (our famous architect) building such as Ljubljanica Fishmonger Bank, Three Bridges,...

- Old city stadium (Bežigrad stadium) which is being renovated; the city is also building new one in Stožice district

- Music places (Filcharmony, Opera, Cankarjev dom)

- Hala Tivoli or any other city sport halls

Historical Diversity:

- Prešeren Square (main square, citizens like to meet here and chat)

- Old churches (many of them, I suggest Stolnica or Franciscan Church)

- Old City Centre (all those tiny streets and shops with pretty cheap stuff

- A trip around Culture Centre (Zvezda Park, National Library, 22 Universities and 3 Academies)

- One of the old museums (Art, War, Science..)

Ljubljana is quite boring... dunno what you can see here. it's nice in the summer, when there are a lot of people in the centre of city. but it's like a little village for those who come from big cities.

I suggest you take a one hour ride to the mediteranean part of Slovenia, in april its sometimes even possible to swim in the sea. I suggest you go to Piran,Portorož, lots more happening there than in Ljubljana. Go to Ljubljana only in summer.

Ljubljana is the most beautiful city in former Yugoslavia and one of the most beautiful cities in central Europe.

Piran, Maribor and Lake Bled are magnificent also. Slovenes are quite agreeable people and the women are very kind. Wanna go there again sometime soon but stuck in the USA which isn't so bad anyways... :-)
