  • Speaking from experience; it is most helpful to get all arrest records with favorable dispositions sealed. Also go to the court clerks office where the arrest (s) occured and get disposition documents. You can take it a step further if you've accumalated some time since the offense and apply for a relief from disability or exemption from disability, depending on the your particular states rules regarding this action. Upon applying you will find out how much time is required to qualify.

Keep Swinging. To succeed in life and in business, we must be more than just one hit wonders – or one attempt wonders. Divide each new interview opportunity into 3 phases. Then prepare your objectives for the next three calls or meetings. Hint: Interview #1 should never be to get hired, but to gain insight from the interviewer you can apply to interview #2 with another employer!

  • would a person with a burglary charge be able to get into web design or any kind of job related to computers?

  • The real challenge is to get an employer to interview you! More understanding on the part of the employers needed. And more assistance for the ex-offender in finding real work that is sustaining. Any wonder at the recidivism rate?

  • Very informative. Thumbs up. The one thing I feel the video is missing is how the ex-con can go about getting the interview in the first place.

  • if your an axe murderer would they hire you in a wood farm !!! or if you were a pedo would they hire you in a school ??? half of the criminals end up in nick again any road...

  • Not even an ex-con and I can't get a job. California sucks.
