  • how does she play the low E's and D's on an alto?

  • I really like how Petri plays this movement. She makes it a virtuoso whirlwind.

I first thought that it was undancable but on second listening I actually think that the tempo actually makes it more dancable than a slower interpretation.

I also really enjoy that ms Petri chose to not finish the movement on that high high 'c'. That shreaker of a final note destroys so many otherwise wonderful performances of this selection.

  • Phenomenal. :O

  • I like it. In fact I like it a a lot! Bravo.

  • Rather than comparing her tempo with your preconceived ideas about how this piece "should" be played, I suggest listen with your hearts and not with your brains. There is no "right" tempo. The tempo she has chosen works and she makes it sound comfortable and effortless. Michala Petri is a monster musician with incredible control of her instrument. She has made a most beautiful expression if you are just open enough to her it. This is a phenomenal performance.

  • Qué versión, es fantástica.

  • I love Ms Petri's performances but I have to say this one is a bit too fast. It takes away the dark mood of the minor key which is so distinctive of this movement.

  • perfect permanent breath

  • The time is perfect! She's play Bach! Allemande > dance! Just leave out the laziness of the brain, let it flow and you can feel!

  • a bit hasty for my taste, but much better then all the other recordings I've heard.

  • wunderschön. ich liebe dieses Stück. Aber ich wuerde es auch langsamer spielen...

  • she plays very well as ever, but i prefer this allemande slowly

there is a repetition in 1,25-26 that i don't understand

  • Phantastisch!

  • I love Michala Petri's playing, though I wish she'd taken her time a bit more here...

Still, she is a true virtuoso of the instrument. Brava. Michala!
