You kids are funny.... The new VR38DETT is far superior in so many ways compared to the heavy and outdated RB series engines. Even the the newer VQ35HR found in the newest Z33's and even the VQ37HR are superior to an old RB. Their potential is nearly limitless as people have made 1000 + HP on the VQ series engines. The V6 layout is even better as it distributes weight better in a car's chassis...

i also agree with keeping the RB series, but in fairness this engine thats in the new GTR is NOT a VQ sereis at all...its acutally a VR which orginally came from the R390 GT1 (V8) all they did was knock two cylinders off and revamped it for a V6 and revised it some.

the vq 3.5 is a renault espace engine, renault and nissan are more or less the 1 company now, altho renault had nuthin to do with the GTR the engine in the 350z is pure renault bullshit, i know i work for renault, the new nissan qashqai comes with a renault 1.5 clio deisel engine or a 1.9 renault laguna deisel engine and is pure cheap shit, hey the nissan note is a renault modus with different body panels and interior, RENAULT has fucked up most nissans, thank god renault left the GTR alone lol

i think nissan should of stuck with the rb line of engines and not the vq line wich is found in the 350z and the infinity g35 the v8 would of been a better choice to.

i've read that this car is gonna have a 4.5 V8 instead of 3.8 V6..well that 4.5 v8 was supposed to be on the production car but they changed it =(..
