Keep in mind that growing up female, even when forced to do so, allows you to show emotions. Biological boys don't get that growing up. I am trans, pre-op. But when and if i get top surgery, i will ALWAYS be trans, NOT MALE. 100% PROUD TO BE TRANS cuz i can't be anything else, not with binders, packers, STPs, bottom surgery, name change, etc. Self-acceptance is the first step towards self-discovery. We are spirit in body suits. Native Amer. and Indigenous tribes have always known this. :)

I wish I could come up with good analogies but you seemed to cover it quite well. I'm sure there are a lot of movies I could find that would be good allegories for trans guys/girls.
