  • Very nice man; i am considering buying one, what would you say about the action-feel of playing it?, has it got a nice action, or a hard one? (i am looking for a comfortable guitar, I ve grown playing a Yamaha which I ve always found it hard to play from the 5th fret onwards).

    thanks!!

  • @vitulano Hi, the guitar is a dream to play...GET IT! :-)

  • @olsen4545 jjajaj, thanks man, I think I will

  • hi there, what strings are you using? sounds really great!

  • I don't buy anything at GC at Retail prices anymore. I have found too many people that will knock off 20% off retail and in the case of Martin there are several like Maurey's, My Favorite Guitar that knock off 40% from Martins List Price. Plus too many people go to GC and scratch stuff up, no respect.

  • Nice posts dude. I can see you've falling in love with the D-28!

  • Stairway to heaven was actually recorded first with a harmony sovereign 1260. A model in the higher end of harmonys line and jimmy pages second acoustic guitar I believe the Martin came later along with the les Paul of course. They are great guitars and can be obtained at a bargain price. It's a shame that they always seem to need neck resets.

  • First Rule of guitar vids: no shorts

    Unless you're a hot chick.

  • great guitar! 100% clarity

  • This video has just convinced me to buy a Martin D-28. Thank you so much for your wonderful playing =]

  • What a beautiful sound and guitar. I just played one today, and I was blown away. I had previously owned a D-15 which was nice for the money, but didn't have the bass, volume or crispness I really wanted. I thought I wanted a Taylor, because I had played a few that impressed me, but as soon as I picked up that new D-28 and started playing (fingerstyle and pick), I didn't want to stop!!!! It's one of those rare occasions when a guitar just says "You found me!"...absolutely brilliant.

  • Best D-28 I've heard. I've found a HD28V I liked but this is a special guitar, or an old one. Thanks for posting.

  • nice one man!

  • the price of this D 28 please?

  • @zemzamiimad They list for around $2,300 but that's the list price...

  • @zemzamiimad I bought mine from Guitar Center in 95 for $2000. With the current economy you might be able to do better. I love mine...worth every dime...just wish I played better.

  • Sounds great! nice little tune you made up :)

  • @olsen4545 So you charge money for playing with a shirt on?

  • Donnes-moi les accords s'il te plaît, je vois pas bien, t'es pas de face.

    Merci. J'aime bien ton son.

  • nice warm woody sound, much better then taylor, but martin do need more players control to make it sound nice while taylor is balanced very well, but lack soul

  • hey, can you please tell me what song this is, i really like it

  • @canadianmusician1 Hey buddy, its a little tune I came up with :-)

  • sounds great to me

  • Wonder if a D28 was used on HArvest by Neil Young? cos it reminds me of it.

  • neil recourded harvest with a Martin D45.

  • @jdmarcus59 plus he wrote heart of gold and old man with his D45

  • Sounds like it's "opened up" really nice! Play the heck out of it! It wil only sound better!

  • Sounds just as nice as mine !!! ;o)

  • I am a blues guitarist and i love the low end of a d28 i have used myd28 on many gigs over the last 4 years. I would never sell my d28 its just a great all round guitar.

  • Didn't Elvis Presley use a Martin D-28 in 1955?

  • yes. the intro on stairway to heaven is recorded with the D28, and blackbird by the beatles, just to name a few.... the D28 is the most famous acoustic guitar.... ever and the best..

  • magnifique!...En fait,j'épluche ttes les viidéos pour 1 éventuelle info à propos de ma 145317,volée à Strasbourg,(F),en 1999;merci pour la qualité de votre éffort, P

  • Thanks

  • very nice suond,i love D28

  • ive always loved the Martin D28 sound. But i love the sunburst finish of the Gibson J45. they have a sunburst D28 now but it looks crappy compared to the gibson version. now if Martin would put on a sunburst finish like the Gibson id be sold on the D28

  • amazing sound. but i wouldn't pay 32 grand for it.

lol, and it's only a replica, you should pay 32 grand for the real thing.

  • you have to understand that what you're paying for is more of an investment than just a purchase. when you buy one of these high pricer's like the martin d28 or gibson j45 or something along those lines, its gonna be your guitar forever and from what i understand, they just get better as they age.

  • Awesome man!

  • the best guitar ever 0-0

  • very beautiful sound

  • Sounds like a Million dollars! Nice technique, too. Enjoy that D-28. :)

  • PROBABLY THE MOST USED guitar of the beatles(aucostic)

  • I thought they used gibsons at least thats what i think lennon used anyways not sure about Paul

  • ye Lennon used gibson j-160e alot but both paul and john used Martin d-28 in many recordings. And i think it was a majority of the songs

  • Ah nice thx

  • paul used his martin d28 on blackbird song you can see his video here youtube playing blackbird/helter skelter on acoustic on there rare video and you can see lennon wearing his martin d28 on hello, goodbye video

  • Ah nice i believe its on the let it be dvd i saw Lennon with a acoustic that had volume and tone knobs on the front of the guitar but i couldnt make out what it was any ideas??

  • i think it was epiphone casino guitar

  • Ok thx nonet

  • That was his Gibson J45. Used to be a sunburst but he had it stripped back to natural finish. Later he drew the famous sketch of Yoko and himself on it. Used this acoustic guitar most of the time with The Beatles although he did get a Martin around 68.

  • john lennon used alot of epiphones,, but he had a martin, everyone has a martin, bob dylan, johnny cash,, its the most popular brand,, youll hear them alot on recordings.. stairway to heaven intro is played on a D28..

funny isnt it when people think rockstars had no money and were poor, when bob dylan had a martin when he was playing in clubs.... and he always had top end guitars. robert johnson had a gibson.. u know your serious about music when you have a martin, but only just afford one

  • @HAmmer32261 Gibon J50

  • how much did you pay for this guitar?

  • Nice guitar and melody!

  • ive been lookin at a Gibons J45 Rosewood. i admire it and the fact that its Hank Williams Jr's fav guitar helps...........but the sound of your Martin is amazing! i may change my way of thinking. thanks for the video brother.

  • Hi, love to watch your clips of this D28!!!

    Love this sound a lot!

  • Thanks for the nice comments! I made an Angie video at your request :-)
