CJ has the perfect voice and persona for this cover, as her own songs are often dark, raw, and strongly expressive. Cohen’s "The Future" holds nothing back either, with its unapologetic depictions and sordid metaphors. If only just metaphors! "Your private life will suddenly explode” and "I've seen the future brother, it is murder" have already proved prophetic.
