These verses make us look at rev 3:10 in a different light as they speak of the Lord keeping us from falling into temptation. These are similiar to rev but they don't mean a...
rapture...it's like 1 cor 10:13, which speak about escaping temptation because he has given us a way to bear it. I would encourage you to read all of 1 Thess chapters 4 and 5...you'll see that the rapture occurs on the day of the Lord...which is his day of wrath...All who believe, no matter the time in which they live, will not face God's wrath.
Also read Rev 19:15, the coming of the Lord when our of his mouth comes a sharp sword, and he releases the fierce wrath of God on the unrighteous.
Believers are not subject to his wrath because they've obtained salvation in Christ. This is said again and again. Not once will you see him unleash his wrath on those bought and sealed by the blood of Christ...because his anger has been calmed against them...
His wrath is against the unrighteous, against those who worship the beast etc.

Thye Bible never says how long the "great Tribulation will last. It does say when it starts but never says how long it will last.

The only time a "7 year period" is mentioned, is when the Antichrist confirms a 7 year Peace Treaty with Israel. He breaks the treaty after 3 1/2 years, but God is under no obligation to honor the remaining 3 1/2 years.

When we are tempted, he gives us the strength in his name, by the blood of the lamb, to overcome...just as the saints in the tribulation will overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.

I would encourage you to read all of 1 Thess chapters 4 and 5...you'll see that the rapture occurs on the day of the Lord...which is his day of wrath...All who believe, no matter the time in which they live, will not face God's wrath.
Also read Rev 19:15, the coming of the Lord when our of his mouth comes a sharp sword, and he releases the fierce wrath of God on the unrighteous.

If a rapture happened BEFORE the rise of the Antichrist, why is the verse Rev 16:15 located where it's located? Rev 16:15 is one verse ahead of verse Rev 16:16 which reads...
"And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue, Armageddon."
Because the rapture (GATHERING) of the dead and living in Christ, happens so they may be changed to return to Earth to fight with Christ.

Thye Bible never says how long the "great Tribulation will last. It does say when it starts but never says how long it will last.
The Great Tribulation starts, as soon as the Battle of Armageddon starts.(Rev16:15-21) There is nothing written that says how long it will last.
The only time a "7 year period" is mentioned, is when the Antichrist confirms a 7 year Peace Treaty with Israel. He breaks the treaty after 3 1/2 years, but God is under no obligation to honor the remaining 3 1/2 years.

Grant Jeffery does'nt mention that Paul also said that in 1 Cor 15:52 it does say the LAST trump when saints are changed into their incoruptible bodies, He's a false prophet twisting scripture. 1Thes 4:16 is in cordination with 1 Cor 15:52 and they both mean the last trump of GOD. Grant you are clearly in error on this matter of when will the rapture take place. You are trying to spoon feed gods people with an age old theory rather then the word of God. You need to look closely into the Itinerary that our Lord Jesus gave to his disciples found in Matthew Chap 24. This can also be matched up with what we find in the book of revelation and the Old testament Prophecy. The tribulation period is not the wrath of god this is the vengeance of satin. Gods wrath after Jesus comes.

Ok i've sinned my ass off,enjoyed the odd Slayer album and find all forms of the occult most entertaining :) Not that i believe in the existence of the devil,just that it makes for some very cool movies and music. @mec554 Faith is a funny thing,it brings an overwhelming sense of well being to billions and no one can argue that it isn't a positive thing. But some of the teachings and beliefs,in this case the rapture are simply lunacy. And quite honestly a little insulting to someone who isn't a Christian. I have absolute faith in the fact that i'm not a "sinner" and i won't burn in hell for all eternity because hell doesn't exist. These sort of ideas work in a church but don't stand up to scrutiny.

Can someone help me? I'm 13 and scared that this will happen. I'm not ready yet. I've done a lot of bad and I want god to love me and I want him to know I love him so I can be with him. I've only been to church once after I was baptized once as a catholic. And they said the rapture is occurring on may 21 this year. And I'm scared because I don't want to go the darkness in the next life. I wanna go to heaven and be with god. Someone please help me.

Grant Jeffrey, it seems you are in lock step march with the rest of the pre-trib guru's and either deliberately ignoring the biblical facts, or quite frankly, you may be unaware of thes facts. Acts 3:20-21 declares that christ must "remain in Heaven" until the "restitution of All things". You can't do anything to cause God not to love you. God does not want anyone to go to hell. Jesus said the "sign" of his coming, (this is something that is to happen BEFORE he comes) would be the "abomination that maketh desolate" as spoken by Daniel the prophet, stand in the Holy place. Now notice, the Bible clearly difines this event as taking place in the 'middle" of the seven years tribulation. So, How is it possible to hold to this ....

Furthermore, Jesus in that passage warns his future followers, at that time, when they see this "abomination" in the Holy place , to FLEE to the mountains, and "survive" until he returns. He said that those who would "endure to the END" would be "saved", and also, that he would shorten those days, for the "elects sake" (that refers to his followers, Christians, as is clear from the use of this word to the church)

Again, nowhere in THE BIBLE does it say 7 in a half years. Nowhere in Daniel 9:24-27 does it say 7 years. NOWHERE. You can't even find great tribulations or rapture in any of those scriptures. Those scriptures are talking about JESUS. Nothing else! Show me one scripture that says the tribulation is going to be for 7 years. SHOW ME!
