from my perspective, the only way to save the world (our selves cus the world is gonna stay) at this time is to join in on the Occupy riots and get a resource based system, in my small country alone we throw away about 50 million tons of food every year just cus its about to expire and we wont give it away for free, we could feed every soul in the world but we'd rather have money so hey... better noone gets it... aye ? sry im alittle drunk but the world is screwed

The world would not end through the end of any calender system but would end through Astronomical Catastrophies, that are inevitable, but one we can not predict them for sure.
