  • @pittspa : Yes, you can use fillo sheets, the texture will be different (flaky) but still good. You can use apples - we suggest you slice them really thin.

  • Made this for my hubi he loved it so much...he went downtown ;) !! the glaze is the best part. GREAT TIP: I used angle food cake instead of the pastry. you can find it at walmart in a box. it's lightweight low fat cake!!!! u go girls! i will keep making your recipes.

  • @tanzinababes : In parts of the world Corn Starch is known as Corn Flour (like in India) but here in the US, Corn Flour is coarse flour made of Corn and they use it to make breads etc. We are not sure about where you are and what it is called there.

I was surprised how fast, cheap, and easy it was to make it but MOST of all how freaking AWESOME it tasted. It tastes great, I loved it and your video. Your videos are very easy to follow.   • @minaina12345 : Lime juice is too strong - you may be able to use lemonade or limeade. The citrus juices give it a fresh flavor and the orange juice is not too overpowering - hence perfect for this dish.

    Absolutely...use any kind of glaze you like. We've also used apricot glaze with great results.

    Yes, you can use an apricot glaze. It will be delicious.

  • This looks wonderful! I'm going to try this for a birthday celebration. One question I have is....can I make the puff pastry a day or two ahead? Will it keep ok, as long as it doesn't get banged around or eaten!!!?? Thanks, I look forward to you other recipes.

    Yes, you can make the pastry a day or so ahead. Be sure to cool it completely before storing it in an air tight bag or container.

  • Hey Anuja-Hetal, do you know whether I can use Splenda for the glossy coating? I wonder if the consistency will be the same as using sugar. The tart looks delicious, it sure would be a great way to get children or even teens to eat more fruits. Great recipe, looks yummy, keep those recipes coming...Thanks. Sue

  • Sue, I have used splenda a lot of times in my cooking (my parents are diabetic) and it works really well. Unfortunately, this is not a diessert I have experimented on yet! Really I don't see any reason why it would not work. So, having said that, if you do try, please let us know about your experience. We are sure it'll be helpful for us (me) and lots of other viewers.
