@pittspa : Yes, you can use fillo sheets, the texture will be different (flaky) but still good. You can use apples - we suggest you slice them really thin.

I was surprised how fast, cheap, and easy it was to make it but MOST of all how freaking AWESOME it tasted. It tastes great, I loved it and your video. Your videos are very easy to follow. @minaina12345 : Lime juice is too strong - you may be able to use lemonade or limeade. The citrus juices give it a fresh flavor and the orange juice is not too overpowering - hence perfect for this dish.

Sue, I have used splenda a lot of times in my cooking (my parents are diabetic) and it works really well. Unfortunately, this is not a diessert I have experimented on yet! Really I don't see any reason why it would not work. So, having said that, if you do try, please let us know about your experience. We are sure it'll be helpful for us (me) and lots of other viewers.

Yes, you can make the pastry a day or so ahead. Be sure to cool it completely before storing it in an air tight bag or container.
