Islam does not force women into marrying a man of their parents choice. If the man is pious and has good attributes, and your parents do not allow you to marry this man, then a woman is allowed to make her own decision whether she wants to marry this man or not. Same goes for men wanting to marry a pious woman, with parents that do not approve. There are plenty of people who drink alcohol but also call themselves Muslims. Are they considered Muslims in the "eyes" of God? The answer is no.
@iltejaEzainab -- Whether one drinks alcohol or not does not define whether one is a Muslim or not. You can not decide the answer for God of whether they are considered Muslim or not. Allah may forgive their sins just as He may not forgive the sins of people who judge others without any right to and without knowing what is in their hearts.

I got a similar issue...I'm a Pakistani Muslim girl, who's parents are in no way racist, but they fear that their families and other Pakistani people would ridicule them if their child (me, or any of my siblings) married outside of our race. Islam does not force women into marrying a man of their parents choice. If the man is pious and has good attributes, and your parents do not allow you to marry this man, then a woman is allowed to make her own decision whether she wants to marry this man or not. Same goes for men wanting to marry a pious woman, with parents that do not approve. There are plenty of people who drink alcohol but also call themselves Muslims. Are they considered Muslims in the "eyes" of God? The answer is no.

There are signs and attributes that people try to attain in order to be a momin. There are certain levels of respect and one should always be conscious of those rules when even entering the mosque. Showing up intoxicated to a mosque, #1 you are not showing any respect to the mosque, #2 you are not respecting Allah swt. I highly doubt that a person will pray with full concentration, when drunk.

I got a similar issue...I'm a Pakistani Muslim girl, who's parents are in no way racist, but they fear that their families and other Pakistani people would ridicule them if their child (me, or any of my siblings) married outside of our race. I still want to marry a Muslim man, but that's the only real limit I need - limiting it on race is stupid. FOR @Muuse92: hay, As far as i know: the red dot means she is married, so i believe it is old tradition because as far as i see: few of them don't do it.
ALSO the big red mark is something they(parents, brother, sister, aunt, friend, usually some one older people or family) put in men and women in marriage day (not just to the couples but can be to others in the wedding or engagement)or celebrating day too and not just to the couple but can be to others.
