IMO, Rick isn't 100% fault here. I mean, yes, he did started to shoot people. I can't deny that. But you guys have to think about it: why would he started shooting people in the first place? He tried his best to trancend them, but they want him to be the bad guy. So in my opinion, he really was the victim of bullying.

I agree, Degrassi gave people the opportunity to see that even when people do horrible things, they were still human, and there is more to it than just the fact he wanted to kill people. Not to say it wasn't wrong, nor justified, but seeing Rick as he lived prior to the shooting gives a lot of perspective into his motivations.
