Do you know what the chain of events is? For every food item lost or unaccounted for the company cuts back spending, which means that over the long run people will lose jobs because of you.
We used to do this when we were younger and poorer. It's way simpler than what these two are doing. Go to any fast food garbage can and grab a receipt. Believe me, there's a ton of them in there. Bring the receipt in and tell them you're missing an item or two on the list. Since you have the receipt, they'll give you the food, no questions asked.

I think the best idea is to go inside, ask for the manager. Say, last night I ordered the angus meal with bacon, and when I got home it had mushrooms on it, and im allergic to mushrooms, so i had to toss it all out. If i did not look in the burger before taking a bite, i could of gone to the hospital. was anyone new working last night? Is it hard to make this mistake?
