Someone said once that copying is the greatest form of flattery. So Shigeru Miyamoto should be flattered and for good reason too as Both Neutopia games are excellent. Your experience with the game shines through the review Chris as you pointed the minor quirks that most wanna-be "reviewers" out there would have not even seen. Now non-turbo owners audience : Does Chris's reviews make you want to play turbo games? Now is the time to experience the games on a system that "should have been"...
I've beaten the first Neutopia and I would love to add the sequel tto my collection. Looks so much better. Nice review Chris. How about an import review?
that looks like a really good game i loved link to the past on the snes and the original zelda on the nes so will def give this one a try great review :-)
Chris, be honest...you were at many points ENRAGED at the retarted amount of block pushing in labryinths. It was never obvious, you have to waste SO MUCH time hugging every damn block until one moves. I actually put Neutopia 2 down for a few weeks for this reason.
wow amazing review, superb production and editing and that turbo walkthrough was a belter!!!! Game looks lovely too - might snag myself a copy, would have to be the Turbografx version I am guessing though!!!
The original Neutopia was one of the first games I had for the TG-16. I enjoyed the Neutopia games more than pretty much any of the Zelda games and I'd definitely choose playing Neutopia over Zelda any day.
The Turbografx 16 kind of strikes me as a console that wishes it were an NES, but unlike some Nintendo imitators, this one gets a lot of it right, especially games like this.
Thank you Chris!! I was a I beat both games back in my childhood, both great games. I was one of those people that actually imputed those nightmarish passwords. My brother still finds old papers lying around from them. I was disappointed when you beat the game, it announced Neutopia 3 but the game was later canceled due to the canceling of the Turbo-Graphix. :(
I had both of these in reverse order, but did not play them much, i regret, i think they would have been better on cd, with speech and cut scenes though.
When did Neutopia 1 come out in Japan? I think it was before A Link to the Past, which would mean that the success of Neutopia may have inspired Nintendo to make the next Zelda game in the style of the original.
Thanks so much for these reviews Chris, I've watched all of them so far and find them so interesting. My adolescence was the late 90s and I missed out on what came before me unfortunately, thanks for showing me what I missed and shedding some light on this forgotten console and the great games (and hey, why not mention the not so great ones) that were released. I'll be buying your DVD soon man, THANKS!.
Very underrated game and I bet a lot gamers out there didn't even know about this sequel either. Yeah the huge twin castle stage drove me nuts too. Great review again!
Its always so refreshing in the heart seeing classic games, reviews of them can never get old! Never played these two games but they do look awesome. Every system had some clone or another lol...I'll always love your reviews..because I know what to expect! not like you review anything you find lol..So I'd like to wish you a Merry Xmas to you and family, Chris and just keep up the great work!!
I only have that title, but it is a great game, although it took almost a full year to complete because of problems at school, a great review, and nostalgic.
Thank you again for reminding me of these great classics. Continue with the channel, surely one of the best of youtube.
How does the internal memory work on the turbo duo?
ZavenNes1718 16 hours ago in playlist TURBO VIEWS: TurboGrafx 16 / TurboDuo Reviews
@ZavenNes1718 The Turbo Duo just has a memory backup. So it just saves it into the memory, like a built-in memory card. :)

Hmmm, I wonder why the Bombs, clouds, and music seem oddly familiar . . . like, Bomberman. Hudson Soft... it must be just a coincidence!
BTW: Loved the Galoob reference, Chris! :D
