  • The first time I saw General Tor jump into the air and explode, I was so confused I thought I won.

  • One of the best boss fights in any game, ever.

I just wanna know how you're getting 2 HP from health powerups on extreme :p

  • @Ferret5317 Look at that maxed out assimilate skill

At least I think that's it, it's been years

  • Why do you keep skipping the story?

  • @Tokanova Because that's not what I'm trying to show. If people want to read here, they can always press pause.

  • Why don't you use the Massacre more? Tor can't fire the Phantom hammer after he loses a few health bars, and it deals more damage than a charge ball does.

  • @FlyingSagittarius Honestly, I don't remember; it's been two years since I did this

However, I guess I might've underestimated the Massacre's ability, and maybe shunned it since it makes me hurt myself.

But it's been forever since I played this, I don't even recall what the phantom hammer is..

  • @LordTyphoon If you keep dodging Tor's charge balls, he'll send a shockwave that knocks Iji in the air. If you get hit by that, the Phantom Hammer is unavoidable; it's a blue-white beam that instantly kills her. (To add insult to injury, it reduces all your stats to 1 too.)

  • @FlyingSagittarius Oh that.

I think I only had it happen once and I had to have it happen on purpose.. ;P

  • @FlyingSagittarius yeah i had to look up a lets play to figure out what to do that happand to me the first time throu

  • What's happening at 7:13? Tor's blowing himself? How?

  • ни одного убийства?! Круто!!

  • My personal favorite game ever!

  • Possibly the most amazing fight (many attacks, interesting patterns, very closely matched power, etc.) of any Indie Game out there. Or at least, that I've played, and that's quite a few.

Honestly, with the music and all, this should be something of an example for "real" game companies. This fight is BAD ASS.

  • @jeremy2d Hell yeah, that is true.

  • @EReflexer Nah, that's not it. The reward is different conversations, which is also a reward for completing certain requirements or using different items or whatnot.

The difference in the actual ending is just whether or not Dan survives. And to do a real pacifist run, Dan has to survive.

  • @LordTyphoon Actually, Dan's survival is optional to a pacifist run. You need to avoid killing Iosa by getting Ansaksie to do it for you, and you need to avoid killing Asha by using the Velocithor on the power core. (Also, you have to avoid killing the regular enemies.)

    Saving Dan is entirely separate.

  • @NeverStopGaming I thought if Dan died she shot the Komato trooper and that counted as a kill

Then again maybe I'm wrong, trapping him doesn't count as a kill (which is odd..)

  • @LordTyphoon Oh, whoops; you're right. I thought you were thinking that Dan was somehow required to avoid one of those other two plot-related kills, completely forgetting about the trooper.

People over on TvTropes have speculated that destroying the teleport destination causes whoever was teleporting to get stuck in hyperspace or something, which would be why it doesn't count as a kill. (Of course, getting stuck in hyperspace for the rest of your life wouldn't be pleasant, either.)

  • @LordTyphoon it counts as a kill if you don't trap him, it doen't count a kill when you trap him because you did not phsically kill him, he killed himself by teleporting

  • stop skipping through the dialog so fast. I have to keep pausing.

  • Its really a shame that nothing significantly changes for the better weather you go pacifist or not. A few people help you, you get blamed for killing a few people you didn't actually kill. you reveal a bit more plot and that it. Hours of the day all gone just for that.

and its not like its easy going 0 kills neither. i failed my first 2 tries, first from not knowing a bouncing turret = kills and second, [didnt have the weapon to blow the core in sector x]

    so, i was disapointed.

  • It's not that hard, and the fact that 95% of the dialogue in the game changes (ok, the outcome remains the same, but that's not so bad) and the fact you have some more events/opportunities make it very worthwhile to at least try out.

The difference between a normal game and a pacific game is much more imposing and gives you alot more feedback than some "open-ended" games these day do, and this is just a free, indie game.

  • How do you not kill Asha?

  • Watch the other part, on the level you're supposed to kill him you can skip the part where you open up the core by using some weapon (forget the name) that fires through walls to destroy it

Therefor you don't open the walls and never cross Asha

  • @LordTyphoon The Nuke?

  • Try maximum charge. I managed to beat this boss on that difficulty(maxed charged as well) and it was kinda hard(hey, after fighting Normal Maxed charged and Ultimortal difficulty, shit in this game gets easier).

And yes, did it with a pacifistic run(and 1.5) with 0 kills.

  • I tried a few times but man, maximum charge rapes me. Even though I did start playing again recently, having beaten Ultimortal before doesn't mean much to me anymore because I lost most of my acquired skill :P

  • anyone know why i lag on this game? i have a 512mb nvidia graphics, 4 gb ram, dual cores, and i shut off most programs like antivirus and stuff....any ideas anyone? please?

  • Something's very wrong here, that's all I can say.

  • Uhh, no Idea, I run this game on my 5 year old computer with no problems whatsoever. Do you have Vista? If so, get rid of it.

  • thats very likely vistadoes suck the big one good thing i have my XP discs still from my other computer lol

  • Might be because you play on vista or something like that, gmaker has those problems, try to look into the gmthread or contact remar himself.

  • WHATS THAT WEP?!

  • Also, it's the gun you get when you do a pacific run.

  • how do you run on the ocean? arent you trapped in a building? ;P

  • mhm clever

  • next time i want to see that with maximum charge^^

  • Believe me I tried. I'm just not good enough..

  • and see my Iji on icy tower!

  • who is the trhee kids at end playing on a dead Iosa? I see a boy, possible Dan, but where is Iji!

  • They're random kids. It's just to show life still exists.

  • thx

  • crist

  • What kind of CPU do you have?

  • Is that even actually relevant?

Intel Core 2 Duo E7200, slightly overclocked at 3.2ghz

  • Well, I asked because I noticed how you have literally zero lag... and I want to be able to fight like that =[

  • This is interesting to me since i experience extreme slowdown in this area, even after the game auto-lowers my settings, and I am running an overclocked x3350 (q9450) at 3.4 GHz, 8 GB RAM and 2 8800GT's in Sli

  • Got the Null Driver. Sorry for the multiple posts >_>.

  • It's ok.

Either way, I haven't touched the game since I beat Ultimortal whatever time ago. :(

  • Right then..

*MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR SUDDEN DEATH SECTOR AHEAD*

All bosses health are depleted to nearly nothing, all enemies (Including Annilators) die in two hits from a shotgun, and you can skip the second asha fight, and tor can be taken down by a velocithor nearly instantly. Immortal is the harder one: but it is still easy, on Sudden death sector, you must be VERY patient. Now, I go get 10 ribbons and get Null Driver :D

  • Sudden death sector is WAY toned down: Commanders die with two shotgun blasts, krotera dies nearly instantly, his health bar is DRASTICALLY decreased. It's easier than I thought.

  • Got Nanomaster. It is actually VERY easy. Tried killing everything in Sector Z, no difference. I still think there are different ways to get mister Null Driver >.>

  • Would still need Immortal and Sudden Death Sectors, so.. I don't think I'm still interested in this game enough to bother doing that :P

Though if you find out other ways, do tell :)

  • Sudden death sector = 1 HP through every sector: I cannot do it. If I go nuts on Ultimortal with Tor, there is no way I can beat him with 1HP. However, There IS a video on the Null Driver.

  • I'll watch it someday I guess. But seriously, I hated Ultimortal Asha more, cause you had to do half the level over if you failed. At least you restart at Tor, and Tor is a much funnier fight than Asha.

Though still a giant pain. But I was fucking pumped when I got up there on Ultimortal :)

  • Oh, wow. Immortal apparently doesn't require 0 damage, just less than 100. The manual says so.This makes the hardest thing to complete Sudden Death sector, wow >_>

  • I'm still pretty poor at avoiding damage :P

  • what does sudden death sector do? o0

  • Aww,You should of done Maximum Power for General Tor

GOD,I fucking hate Maximum Power Tor xD

  • I'm not too good friends with Maximum Charge Tor either..

  • I can't imagine Sector X on sudden death. I can hardly imagine ANY sector after 4 on sudden death. I think Nanomaster sounds easy though, unless there are only 100 crack points in the game. Immortal basically sounds impossible.

  • Feel my pain :(

  • Crackmaster is eeaaasy... Unless cracking enemies doesn't count.

  • Also, lawl. Detonator on the charge shot XD.

  • Lawl, now do it on Ultimortal while getting Immortal and go through sector Z with all 10 ribbons.

..Hell, I'm having enough trouble as it is with Immortal myself XD

  • I already had enough trouble doing Ultimortal (I ultimately succeed, thank god)

But I kinda lost hope when I saw I still have to do all the sudden death sectors and immortal/nanomaster to get the null driver. I don't think it's worth it anymore :(

  • Is there any point to a pacifist run besides a different ending?

  • Many events are different in the game, making it a pretty different playthrough from playing it normally.

You also get the massacre weapon.

    And e-props.

  • what are e-props?

  • e-props is a length unit that measures your

    e-willy

  • ...what?

  • it was a joke ok

    just forget it

  • say, I know that the ending changes slightly when you have gotten all 10 ribbons, how does the ending change? I really want to know.

  • tbh, I don't really know. I only finished two runs of the game, and the major difference I had was Dan dead/alive, so I'd have to try a few more times to see differences. ;/

  • If only we could use the Phantom hammer, we probably could if it weren't several hundered times the size of Iji's body

  • Where would be the fun in that though?

I'm content enough I can use bananas.

  • Combining the level 10 weapons for Tasen and Komato is as close to the Phantom Hammer as it gets.

  • ahhhhhhhhhh. so there is a way to defeat him.

  • Mercifully, not Maximum Charged Tor....now THAT would be nasty.

  • Wouldn't it? I tried it on Single Sector and got blasted into oblivion :(

  • You have got to be using Turbo mode, there is no way a computer could run this fast during the final fight.

  • Maybe if we were stuck in 2002, I'd agree.

  • Owch, harsh...

As far as I have seen on youtube and played, the last fight always lagged because of the sheer size of everything going on.

Plus, it sounds like it is going too fast. (THe Phantom cannon charging, etc.)

  • Didn't mean to offend you if you have an older/weaker PC. I don't see how it sounds going too fast though, but that might be due to audio compression, it's buggy sometimes.

To be honest, I haven't even unlocked Turbo yet. I still have to beat Ultimortal, which I unlocked right after doing this vid, you see ;)

  • Huh, I guess your computer must be really good for gaming, then. Although, (and I will admit that during the fully charged battle with this guy on Normal, it did lag like hell the first few attempts) even when the quality auto-lowered to the lowest setting, it was not as fast as this.

Like... mine was about a x0.85 speed compared to yours, to use an easy comparison.

  • That's odd.

  • No, it's slow. XD

Played Tor again, it still lagged, but it looked like yours is way faster in comparison.

I guess there is just too much going on in the foreground and background for some computers to keep up. (For example, the epic transformation sequence uses god knows how many parts XD)

  • Well, as long as it's playable..

  • The Massacre gun is unlocked if you get to that point in the game with zero kills. I think it was added in 1.3 along with the workarounds to the two previously unavoidable kills.

  • I figured, I just never stumbled upon an actual 0 kills run. Fun to know it was "recently" (idk when 1.3 came out) added though.

  • Well since the Massacre is only there with zero kills, and you HAD to get two kills pre 1.3, it's only safe to assume it was added in 1.3.
