I worked on the system designs for one of these a few years ago, and got a very detailed look at it. The entire hull and shell is made entirely of aluminum. This is to eliminate the threat of magnetic mines. Twin inboard deisel engines are accessible via hinged openings on the aft deck. Propulsion is a water induction/ejection system, like the old PT boats....or like jet skis....no propellers. Several multi-directional hi-res cameras, GPS, radar, sonar....

@smarter1then3u I can't speak for USVs, but I know first hand that UAVs use GPS to determine and track their locations. The vehicle recieves its location from the sattelites, then relays that information via antennae to the ground command, so they always know where their vehicle is located.

Actually, "unmanned wars" are not going to happen any time soon. The problem is that any country, whose army is advanced enough to use such vehicles, has ECM radars which can block EM signals. All aerial, ground and other UVs would just loose control.
