hey what does everyone here think of silent hill 4 the room? ive been looking for a bunch of old horror type games for cheap to play on my 360. and i have heard plenty of different opinions on this game, but all the videos and stuff of it look pretty cool to me.

@balltillifall88 I enjoyed it on the pc, and i believe its originally a console game, so there wont be porting issues. If you enjoy atmosphere horrors and puzzle games you will enjoy it. The story line feels rewarding to piece together at the end as well. Don't expect fluent controls and a shooter though because trust me, its not.

The Suffering blew hardcore, Silent Hill 4 : The Room was annoying, but overall par. Doom 3 war HORRIBLE compared to the old ones. Condemned was decent. Resident Evil was a classic, but only scared me when I was 6-7. Eternal Darkness was not scary in the slightest. Condemned 2 was slightly better than one, so it was spooky to an extent. Silent Hill 1, YES. YES. YES. Still scares me to this day and I'm 21. Fatal Frame 2 was pretty spooky, but I liked 1 better. Fear for number 1? Really? Not Scary

I'm honestly surprised Amnesia: The Dark Descent wasn't on this list. But, it wouldn't have given the same kinds of gory screenshots as these other games (for the most part) and it kind of loses some of the scare factor when you don't have the ambiance... so I get it.

Amnesia wasn't released by the time of this video. Dead Space is a rather scary game, since it focuses onto fucking with your mind by using the enviroment and the enemies. But, there are games much scarier than Dead Space, as a kid I was scared shitless of the classic Resident Evil games. F.E.A.R. is not scary. RE and SH are great, but RE is easier to understand and like. SH isn't very rewarding to the player, at least not I think so. When I first played SH, it got so uniform and uncomfortable playing I just wanted to get it over with, and that's how it was with Doom3 too, but doom3 is fun. Just saying.

SH has a great story, but damn you have to work your ass off to get to the EFFFIN POINT!
