rwd harder? have you ever driven a car before?? my old hilux pickup (part time 4x4, 2 wheel drive = rear wheel drive) even with a limp 2.4 non-turbo diesel could watch the middle of a roundabout in the wet! awd, without messing with diffs etc takes a lot more doing than rear wheel drive. rear wheel drive only needs a bit of hard acceleration and the back swings out..
Indeed, 4wd demands a far better driver than a rwd. I've driven fwd, rwd, and currently an Audi 90 Quattro, and the Audi is way harder to drift than my friends' Mercedes (rwd of course). The only thing that's really going for 4wd is that it's harder to spin out than a rwd.
That relates to the older 4wd cars, but newer ones with yaw sensors, torque split and sport differential are easier to drift than RWD, they are less likely to spin and you can get them more sideways than RWD cars. Also, RWD cars are hard to get back but in modern 4WD car like B8 Audi S4 you just bang the throttle and the car will sort everything out for you. Besides, most of the time 100% of the power is on the rear wheels.
