  • Just another Pen wielding pointy headed lefty who's shit smells like Lavender . Or at least everyone that trots her out as their mascot whenever they need some credibility thinks it does.As far as Feminism is concerned, after a generation of emasculation I see western civilization has become one of the biggest , softest, forever weeping Vaginas ever created. When the power goes out who will come to the fore to lead us? hehehe.

  • Every time Jian gives those revolting over the top horn tooting intros you can just see the discomfort in the guests' eyes. Why doesn't he recognize this? It's the worst part of his interviews.

  • I think she's a great author and social commentator - I couldn't put The Handmaid's Tale down. Have to read more books by her. This one sounds good.

  • OMG i started watching this, but that guy just never got done with sucking her cock on air.

  • i love people that speak well and are interesting...

  • Her work is amazing, and so is she. The world NEEDS more people like her.

  • I don't know if I can ever read Oryx and Crake or the Year of the Flood again. So scary and can relate to them too much. I love everything I've ever read of hers. I think she is a feminist, and like all feminists she only thinks women are man's equal and men are women's equal. There are some things women do better than men and vice versa. Is this nature or nurture? This is one of the biggest issues feminists look at. Feminist theory is not about women being better than men.

  • A lot of you are missing the point. Her books are thought provoking, and this one in particular should give everyone pause. We are squandering the earth's resources, and there will come a time when the world will look a lot like she is describing. It is like this in many parts of the world already. I see this as a wake up call...it is shame that some people find this boring, because they have forgotten the simple art of intelligent conversation.

  • I hate feminists, its like they are asking for gender inequality..

  • @safarsafar1234 That comment show you have no idea what Feminism is.

  • @QueerSwede1 feminists go over board.

  • @safarsafar1234 No. Feminists want equality. That's all.

  • Yet another good one! I like it. I must get some of her more recent books. Last one I bought was Alias Grace.

  • like most feminists, she's boring lol

  • @DickOPlenty She's a feminist? Did you read A Handmaids Tale?

  • what's with the weird red & black set? looks like a cheap S & M dungeon

  • Holy hell, her facelift is severe. Her eyebrows are halfway up her forehead. She didn't look like that a couple of years before.

  • i remember hearing this interview live. was so bored, and this reminded me why

  • Q you are the best. NEVER STOP!

  • I truly wish I could start enjoying full length films and television episodes on youtube, but really too bad that is definitely never going to happen. #VIDEOPOSTERID#, that is the reason I'm choosing "stream episodes (DOT) net" right now to enjoy the tv episodes and movies and youtube for everything else!

    Margaret Atwood on Q TV

  • May I recommend the Don Swain radio interviews. Google - and you'll find it.

    Dr John

    CarSanook (dot com)

    Bangkok

  • That interveiwer is about as appealing as a used tampon thrown off the side of a Florida interstate highway, smoldering in the Hot Summer Sun!

  • @peymaania Hahahahaaha

  • @peymaania

    LOL!

    PERFECT!

  • Atwood is great, this interviewer is annoying - he talks too much and interrupts: let the woman go on on her own because she's much brighter than you

  • It's a manscarf. Why hasn't this gone viral?

  • Good call.

  • did Al Gore get his sainthood before or after him and Ken Lay (remember Enron??) devised the carbon tax as a sweet trillion dollar money-maker??

Dear Margaret.......don't take these Hollyweird-ized politicians at face value

  • "It's a man-scarf."

    lol

    It's not just a scarf. It's a 'man-scarf'.

  • I really love her books. In many ways, her writings have produced, within my forays into Canadiana literature, an incredible experience. Her thoughts on theology, secularism, diversity and of the many issues that are presently on my and many minds are not chiseled in concrete and such. I wonder if I need to advance my cognitive skills to better understand her position on many thingies, yet, and in the mean time...I'll enjoy her novels as I always have. Book store run tomorrow.

  • What a brilliant conversationalist!

  • Did she bring a cat? Would she?

  • However much i agree with her network of moral fiber and her work as an ethicist. I strongly disagree with her spiritual beliefs.

  • Margaret Atwood has influenced me to read more "Canadiana" book's a hell of alot more.

  • You are bias, discriminitave, and should seek mental help. I will not take any suggestion's from you, neither should anyone else.

  • Oh boy, I'm not just biased, I "am bias". How am I being discriminative? Why should I seek mental help? I have no mental health issues.

  • Well said.

  • she may be smart, but her novels suck

  • How so?

  • I'm just not a fan of her material.

  • fair enough.

  • She may look like a hedge row fence but she is pretty smart.
