Operation irene was the operation that Black Hawk Down was based on wasnt it? And the military let the airsofters use it for free? Thats pretty cool.

Yes. And no. Its like the superbowl for football. But this is airsoft. Its 200 dollars for a non vet and 170 for a vet. John Lu(holds operion lion claws events around the us) is getting a new place since zussman MOUT can't be held here this year.

Black Hawk Down was based on Operation Gothic Serpent, Irene was the code that activated operation.

It's at the Zussman MOUT training facility in Fort Knox. It is not rented, but "used" by John Lu (best of USA marketing) in honor of Colonial Danny McKnight and the men who fought and gave their lives in Somalia in 1992. It's supposed to be a great event, although expensive (a couple hundred smacks) if I could afford it id go. McKnight even plays as a leader of one side.
