  • wow that was awesome. and he thought is was a fake one sent from the first presidency.... thats freaken hilarious.

  • he'd have freaked out if they had told him he's going like one town over

  • hahah oh mann thats way harsh! I'm opening my call tomorrow!

  • Congratulations! Where are you going?

  • @hughesdc NEW YORK NEW YORK NORTH Spanish Speaking (:

  • @likamicah My step brother served there and loved it. I know you will too.

  • "So the First presidency has a sense of humour...oh my god..."

Little slip of the tongue there.

  • your probably right but last i heard Provo,Ut mission has the most baptisms in every mission field,a friends brother went to Provo from california.i just turned in my papers last wednesday and im trying to wait patiently but its not working haha

  • hold on now first off I just converted to the LDS church last sat from being a methodist/bapitst all my life. but heres the question its obvious thats a prank so. why would there need to be any missionaries sent to Utah when i beleive its what 70% of utah's population are mormons right? correct me if I am wrong

  • @brandtwhite Well the fact that you have such a high LDS population means that a lot more of the people living near them are exposed to gospel concepts, as well as people passing through and visiting. So the higher level of exposure may have something to do with the need for missionaries there.

  • I thought it was a joke when my brother got his call to Ogden XD (I was 9) Never knew that they had missionaries in Utah, never even occurred to me at that age.

  • @american09mutt Haha, my best friend got called to the Odgen mission!! He's in the MTC right now. And my friend's ex-BF got called to Boise, Idaho, so between the two of us we've got all the mission call pranks. :)

3 years was a good one though. Bahahaha.

  • You got owned Brother! xD

I don't think we even have a mission in Beirut do we?

  • that was awesome

  • LDS rocks

  • That was awesome! Very good prank. I am probably going to pull the same prank on someone I know now. Thanks for the ingenious idea.

  • omgosh!! i belkeved it at frist to

  • Wow, he is amazingly naive (to put it nicely) to fall for that one. A standard size envelope and two pieces of paper? Pathetic

  • Why? How thick would a real one be?

  • it would come in a manila sized envelope and it comes with a booklet that tells what you need to bring and stuff.

  • Mine came in a small envelope and had no clothing list because I was the first missionary called to the new mission and they didn't have any details - not even who would be my mission president. That was in 1998.

  • what mission were you opening?

  • It wasn't really "opening". I was just the first called to the new mission that was splitting off from the South Africa, Durban mission. There were already about 46 missionaries on the island of Madagascar when I got there. When I left, there were about 125 missionaries on the island.

  • @teerev3331 so we can assume he's seen lots of previous call letters being opened and KNOWS what size and how many papers there are? LOL

but true, he did get punked too easily

  • this is so funny!i want to do this to my bro

  • So where did he end up going for real?

  • the envolep?

  • LOL our bishop did that to ALL the youth ym/yw forr a fireside once. WE ALL JUST STARTED BUSTING UP

  • me and my friends want to go a little bit farther to the first Iraqi branch for our mission

  • What if you got one that said you were going to Zarahemla. Would you pack clothes for North America or South? HMMM Now that would be funnnnnyyyeee

  • Lawl

  • nice prank.

  • that is funny!

  • HAHAHA! I just opened my call today! That would have been jacked if my friends pulled something like that off on me!!!

  • That's pretty funny! Life goes on.

  • bring a gun

  • hahahaha

  • Pretty funny! And what a great guy not to freak out and refuse to go before he knew it was fake. I'm impressed! Where'd he end up really going?

  • "Aren't they fighting over there?" Hahahahahahahahahah Totally sucks but totally awesome. poor kid

  • hahahahaa this was awesome!

  • This was a great kind of joke...

  • hahahahhahahahha

  • GENIUS!!!! KUDOS!!

  • that really sux! never heard of a fake mission call! but that was really funny now i want to do that to sombody and send them to iraq or somthing haha

  • Ahh, that poor guy! xD Dude, that was harsh...funny,but man! I think I would have cried to! How much longer did he have to wait to get his real mission call anyway?

  • 2 days. :)

  • Oh wow....xD that's great! I wonder if he trusted it that time....x)

  • LOL quorum of the nobodies...lol...i thought he was in on the joke and it was on the lady on the phone, cuz he was laughin through it

  • haha nice

  • this is awesome

  • to tell you the truth, I wouldn't like that prank on me!!! LOL

  • Poor guy...where did he end up going to anyway? Have to admit though, he has some really good humor in this...he was laughing almost halfway through it..until he got to the part that he was being sent out August 10....(I loved the ....NEXT WEEK?!?)

  • That's soooo funny. Where'd he really get called though?

  • I don't really remember any more. Somewhere in the states. My gut was hurting when putting this together. Funny thing is he believed it up tell the point where we signed our names. "Quorum of the Nobodies."

  • lol this is hilarious.
