your probably right but last i heard Provo,Ut mission has the most baptisms in every mission field,a friends brother went to Provo from california.i just turned in my papers last wednesday and im trying to wait patiently but its not working haha
hold on now first off I just converted to the LDS church last sat from being a methodist/bapitst all my life. but heres the question its obvious thats a prank so. why would there need to be any missionaries sent to Utah when i beleive its what 70% of utah's population are mormons right? correct me if I am wrong
@brandtwhite Well the fact that you have such a high LDS population means that a lot more of the people living near them are exposed to gospel concepts, as well as people passing through and visiting. So the higher level of exposure may have something to do with the need for missionaries there.
I thought it was a joke when my brother got his call to Ogden XD (I was 9) Never knew that they had missionaries in Utah, never even occurred to me at that age.
@american09mutt Haha, my best friend got called to the Odgen mission!! He's in the MTC right now. And my friend's ex-BF got called to Boise, Idaho, so between the two of us we've got all the mission call pranks. :)
Mine came in a small envelope and had no clothing list because I was the first missionary called to the new mission and they didn't have any details - not even who would be my mission president. That was in 1998.
It wasn't really "opening". I was just the first called to the new mission that was splitting off from the South Africa, Durban mission. There were already about 46 missionaries on the island of Madagascar when I got there. When I left, there were about 125 missionaries on the island.
that really sux! never heard of a fake mission call! but that was really funny now i want to do that to sombody and send them to iraq or somthing haha
Ahh, that poor guy! xD Dude, that was harsh...funny,but man! I think I would have cried to! How much longer did he have to wait to get his real mission call anyway?
Poor guy...where did he end up going to anyway? Have to admit though, he has some really good humor in this...he was laughing almost halfway through it..until he got to the part that he was being sent out August 10....(I loved the ....NEXT WEEK?!?)
I don't really remember any more. Somewhere in the states. My gut was hurting when putting this together. Funny thing is he believed it up tell the point where we signed our names. "Quorum of the Nobodies."
wow that was awesome. and he thought is was a fake one sent from the first presidency.... thats freaken hilarious.

Wow, he is amazingly naive (to put it nicely) to fall for that one. A standard size envelope and two pieces of paper? Pathetic
teerev3331 2 years ago 5
Why? How thick would a real one be?
KidsandKarma 2 years ago
it would come in a manila sized envelope and it comes with a booklet that tells what you need to bring and stuff.
