The only Dreamworks film I really like is How to Train Your Dragon, but I really, really love it. Probably just as much or more than any Pixar film. Kung Fu Panda was good too though. If Dreamworks continues along the same path as HTTYD, then they're golden. Maybe it's because I'm younger, but the only Pixar films I really like are Nemo, Ratatouille, Wall-E, and Up. I haven't seen Toy Story 3, but I never really got what was so good about Monsters Inc, Bug's Life, etc.

@logotgr It's all just nostalgic, one of the reasons people think that Toy Story 3 was so great was because it was a continuation of what a lot of people (including myself) grew up with, I still have memories of seeing Monsters Inc. in theaters, not saying that Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, and all those other films are so great, they truly are, it's just because of the memories we have of them.

I'm 18 years old and I LOVE DreamWorks. So what if their movies have similarities to Pixar's? In the end it's all good, clean fun. I actually prefer some DreamWorks movies to Pixar movies... All of Pixar's movies are done in the exact same style, but DreamWorks mixes their styles around. Learn a thing or two about ART before you make such a harsh judgment.

I suppose that Dreamworks is one of the better makers of CGI movies out there, but they are no Pixar. They think that hiring famous celebrities to voice act will attract people to see their movies. Pixar hires voice actors that might not be well known, but are just as, if not more, capable than the celebrities hired by Dreamworks. Dreamworks also has the bad habit of basing their movies around animal characters that sometimes seem a bit generic.

Pixar hires big celebrities too. so does disney traditional animation. Robin Williams as Genie, JEJ, Whoopi Goldberg, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and Matthew Broderick in Lion King, Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Kevin Spacey in A Bug's Life, John Goodman and Billy Crystal in Monsters Inc, Owen Wilson in Cars, and i could go on. both companies use a mix of big-name and not-very-well-known actors, and some are from theater. either way, they're all ACTORS, bringing animated characters to life.
