Sergio Fiorentino was absolutely shit-hot playing the Schumann Fantasie, and this performance complements the monumental one on CD (APR 5560). Please don't make comparisons with other pianists for, as Shakespeare said 'comparisons are odious' Just enjoy some great music making!

oh i'm impressed. ive never heard of this guy but this is an excellent performance. his 3rd movement is ridiculously slow though

Yet you never have the impression that he looses the line! A wonderfully wrought meditation, almost in symmetry with the length of the first movement.

Fiorentino was a genius like Horowitz and Richter

One cannot compare this pianist to Richter, because Fiorentino is much above Richter, although he was not as famous as Richter.

@armpiano Richter was unsurpassable too in Schumann et al. so every great pianist has their respective strengths too...they were all great in their own way, so comparisons are odious as they say.
