  • snipe!!!

  • i'm not happy it was against the Panthers, but still happy for Cammarelli anyway. ^_^

  • and many.. many more to come

  • mvp of playoffs. suck it haters

  • keyboard critics, lol

  • i cant wait for reg. season habs are gonna do soooo good

  • No one expected our best player to get injured in the first game (which we won). FWIW Gomez has been good. It's not his fault we no longer have a PPQB resulting in a fail PP.

  • lol you might wanna change your opinion about the Habs now.

  • Habs got lucky that's all. Also your 'franchaise' goalie has issues and instead of being the next Roy is becoming more and more like the next Jim Carrey.

Cammy is a good player I'll say that, but Gomez is still ok at best and still not worth the 7.3 million he's getting paid.

  • You're right he isn't...he's overpaid by about 2 million. We just have to find a way to save 2 million from our other players. Even if our 22 year goalie isn't looking like a star now, we have another very good young goalie in Halak to hold the fort.

FWIW Lundqvist wasn't even in the NHL until he was 23-24. Price turned 22 a couple of months ago. Some goalies develop in lower leagues, the Habs chose to let Price develop in the NHL.

  • @corunguneee

I'm not a big Habs fan, but I can agree with where your coming from. Gomez is getting overpaid like you said, but he is still a pain to play against. As for the case of Price, just look no further than Fleury. Fleury struggled his first few years in the league showing flashes of brilliance. He was thrust into a position where he was sought after to succeed immediatly. By age 24, Stanley Cup winning performance.

  • @gregma8 look at antti niemi, 26 years old, a rookie, but hes damn sick

  • @Chargersman77 Yeah that's kind of my point. Niemi is 26. He was given time to develop his skills in Finland and the AHL. He was also playing in a less pressured situation as Price. Places like Montreal and Toronto put too much pressure on their goaltenders. As a young player with such high expectations, he's bound to struggle under pressure. Those struggles are only amplified by the fact that Montreal is such a large hockey market.

  • @gregma8 you ar incredibly correct.

  • @Chargersman77 It doesn't help that he had such a great rookie and sophomore season. That just gave fans another reason to assume he could only get better. One of the hardest things to do is stay consistent.

  • @Chargersman77 niemi is horrible, put me in front of that defense, ill get you a cup too. Im abit harsh, he made some incredible saves but he is just average.

  • @gravino555 niemi did enough to win a cup.... just sayin

  • @corunguneee that sucks about your halak dilemma

  • @JDubs878 habs went all the way to the eastern conference final, eat that, piece of shit.

  • @gravino555

The Habs got to the conference finals mainly because of a superhot Halak. Do you really believe they would've gotten that far if it were Price in net?? I guess we'll find out this season how good the Habs are without him.

Also how much did Gomez contribute to the cup run?? How about very little? Think about that while he plays on the Habs for a few more seasons at a cap killing 7.3 million.

  • @JDubs878 im guessing you didnt watch 1 single game of the habs playoff run, because what i saw was a team wanting to win. Yes Halak was playing amazing, but wqithout those 500 blocked shots by the habs defense, mainly gill and gorges,, we werent going to win 1 single game. So if i were you id brush up on my hockey. AND BTW THE HABS DIDNT SIGN GOMEZ, THE RANGERS DID. OBVIOUSLY EVERYONE KNOWS HES NOT WORTH 7.5 MILLION A SEASON. But he is still one of the best passers in the game.

  • @gravino555 I agree that the Habs played good in front of Halak, but AGAIN I ASK if you put Price in net do you really believe they would've gotten that far? I seriously doubt it. With Price in net, the Caps would've finished the Habs off in round 1. As good as the Habs were playing when they were down 3-1 in the series, how often did Halak bail their asses out? Would Price have done the same? Doubtful

Also, I know Gomez was signed by the Rags, but your GM was dumb enough to trade for him though

  • @JDubs878 Dumb Enough? both cammalleri and Gionta admitted they only came to Montreal so they can play with Gomez. Gainey played it smart knowing we needed a bunch of players to sign after that remodeling. Im not saying the trade was worth it but it did lure in Cammi and Gionta.

  • @gravino555

Cammy and Gionta can say that now, but who knows if its really true? What if Gainey signed another top line centre, does that mean those two automatically don't decide to sign with the Habs since Gomez isn't there? Who knows.

Fact is is that Gomez is still a anchor contract that the Habs are stuck with and unless he plays better, he'll always be a 7.3 million blackhole for several more years.

  • @gravino555 And what about Drury. At 8 million? 32 points in 77 games WOW! what an amazing player he is for a big salary like that.

8 millions 32 points in 77 games...........

  • if he plays like that with gomez, hell be up to 40+ goals in no time

    (j'espere bien) ;)

  • was it gomez that passed it to Kostitsyn and then kostitsyn passed it to cammalleri ?

  • no

    Go Habs Go

  • yes it was

  • lol mike deserves the A...he'll perform this year trust me. With a great playmaker like Gomez and Markov on defense he should get 40+ goals...

he did a goal with his knee on the floor like Crosby!

all i know is that the GOALER AINT SEE SHIT !!

  • No, knee on the floor is Cammy's trademark, Crosby is just a cocksucker

  • come on guy its nobody trademark. I do that and am a sucker its just instinctive.

  • @ja24 actually thats brett hull's trademark, way more than cannalleri's

  • @TheBROWNMagic00 No way its the Cammalleri one-timer!

  • @NHLSUPERSTAR1 Brett hull is known for going down on his knee. and then you can say its anyplayers signature. but brett hull came before cammelleri and is known for doing it way before camalleri. plus most forwards do that on one timers!!!!!

  • @TheBROWNMagic00 Good point! it's just where im from im so used to hearing it called a cammalleri one-timer! sorry!!!

  • ya "already wearing the A", but so was gomez, gionta, metropolit. they are giving them to the vetrins for know.

  • already wearing the A?
