The "haka" a polynesian war dance. The Hawai`i Warriors perform a similar version called the "ha`a". This type of war-dance is performed by not only the UH warriors, but other high school (i.e. the Kahuku Red Raiders) and college teams as well you moron. its meant to pump up the players and intimidate enemies. It's not "african" you racist douche bag. This dance has become something of a pregame ritual now which pumps up both the players and the fans.

i'm from hawai'i brah and was at the '07 UH-fresno game in honolulu. word got around becuz a small group of drunk fans came down to the fresno section and heckled them. not to mention the fact that fresno fans have a history of harrassin and hecklin UH fans anytime we play in fresno. they even threw screws and other debris at our players in '02 at bulldog stadium. fresno fans have a notorious image among the WAC....Boise state didnt have a problem when their fans came to Honlulu.
