Thank you so much for making this video, i'm trying to transfer to a raw food diet and everything you said struck a note with me. I really think I can make the transfer this time now
Fantastic video. Don't try and beat the addiction, find another means to an end by using a healthy approach to fulfill those feelings gained by other unnatural substances. Finally, a way to change my life that I can actually subscribe to. Thanks
Wow excellent ive been led to this kind of healthy lifestyle for a reason im so glad that i found someone that i can relate too ,slowly but shortly i will get to where ur at! :) thanx for your wisdom & 4 being brave :)
i too suffered many of these same problems, but was given adderall/ritalin from the age of 6 onto 15. i also found that i could direct my addict energy towards a positive goal and found many if not all of the things you have in your life.
Great for you! Happy I ran across your video this morning. Check my vids if you'd like smoothie making ideas. You're doing something wonderful for your body by eating raw. :)
I feel like this all the time and I am trying to go raw. The thing is is that he is right , we are addicts to an extent because we want to have those incredible expierences that make life worth living, thank you for your submission bro. Its not about the drug, its about living
So what your saying is that each addiction is fulfilling an unsatisfied need ... that makes complete sense. Since being raw, I have had some cravings for starchy (bread) type foods and I relate this to a need to feeling lonely.
I still haven't managed to crack my cigarette smoking .. that is the big one for me. So I am going to use your advice and keep asking myself "What need is smoking fulfilling?"
I really relate myself to your experiences... I've been vegeterian for quite a long time... Vegan right now... Anorexic at 13... I had a drug and alcool addiction... and right now I'm anorexic-bulimic... I started to watch your videos last night... I think you just change my way of seeing things... Thanks... you're probably saving my life.
Thank you for your honesty and courage to move with the flow of health. My loves: body ecology diet, and a great book, aligned & supportive of your comment about the recovery movements limitations, gives 4 cool steps for anyone to heal the root of issues; The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure, by Chris Prentiss. He doesn't believe in those labels but his audience may begin there...Also, Natural Highs by Hyla Cass MD lays out the underlying amino acid imbalances and natural remedies & diet ideas.
It is an inarguable that knowlege of another person's first hand experience is usually (though in my opinion always) very valuable. Thank you for sharing.
Very honest and informative. You look healthy!
