I have 2 projects to make more user friendly solar cookers. They are on youtube and on solarcooking on their wiki. clam shaped solar cookers for unattended cooking and the tracking solar accumulator that has 2 paraboloids (to balance seasonal adjustment) and it can use low tech (cheap) trackers.

Actually the steel parabola is not the main cooker promoted by Solar Cookers International-- they prefer using the small cardboard "cookits" which are now being used in many refugee camps. And by the way, the people of Kenya are not "simple".
I want one! What a great idea for camping or boating or even hot dishes outside when hubby is BBQ'ing.

Very easy to make, last a long time, light weight, etc.
