  • I'm have the same problem, along with problems with the tension, stitch length, just getting it to sew.

  • I've had this problem a ton of times, try any of (or all of) the following: re-thread your bobbin, change your needle, or re-thread the whole machine. I hope it works!

  • Not for sure yet... but I think the "jumped timing" guess maybe the correct answer. I'm not sure whether to take the machine apart and see if i can correct myself or maybe take it in to a repair shop.

  • Did you ever figure out what the problem was?.. check out this video maybe you can find hte solution there

  • Your machine has jumped timing. The bobbin carrier gear will have to be broken loose and timing set to the needle.

  • Did you get this problem fixed? I will say your biggest problem is that you purchased the machine from Wal-mart. I have come to find out that EVERYTHING that is Electronic that Wal-Mart sells is all seconds which they don't warranty. But, anyway, I hope it was nothing seious and u got it fixed.

  • I had a very similar problem with a similar Singer model. I changed the needle and it fixed the problem...

  • I am was having the same problem with my Singer Talent. I turned down the tension and that is when it started. Check and see if putting the tension on about 3 or the middle of your setting will help. Then run a little and adjust as needed. Hope it works for you ... worked for me.

  • I have the same problem :/.. We're doing sumthin wrong, I think its the stitch settings
