Personal trainer. Bale's not that pumped up here... the biggest drastic change was from The Machinist to Batman Begins. In Dark Knight he had lost more weight than Batman (I assume because he had just been doing Rescue Dawn) and was physically fitter, but a lot of the muscle had gone.

I am a huge Bale fan and believe that with a personal trainer and the dedication that Bale has, he wouldn't need to turn to steroids. I wouldn't rule out the chance completely, but I believe he didn't...
