  • If you chop down most hydrangeas, macrophyllas, they will not bloom next year. You tell us you chop yours to the the ground but tell us to leave 1/3 above ground. Most hydrangeas do not die back to the ground either only the large leaf or arborescans do this. YOU ARE CLUELESS
