Cost of living at the moment is increasing mainly due to lack of housing supply, drought & high oil prices. People keep earning more, spending more & borrowing more (due to good investment oportunity from our growing economy) which is causing inflation to rise so the RBA has to increase interest rates to reduce money supply.

Daily job rates cant show trends, is could be due to a major contract being lost by an Australian company, happens all the time.
