CompuServ finally died completely in June. I hated having an email address that looked like: 76126,226 and I hated paying $22.50/hr for 9600 baud.

legendary! :-D Even though AOL was a big pile of crap it wasn't only them... Users of other ISPs suffered the same fate of not being able to dial up in the evening and late afternoon hours...

I remember back in the 90's when I first got AOL...You always got a busy signal during peak hours in the evenings.
