  • Even brand new records are coated in anti fungal chemicals which in theory will interfere with play back. Oil from fingertips, dust, tobacco smoke etc all leave their marks on vinyl which can cause difficulty with the tracking of the stylus tip. Dirty records wear the stylus of your cartridge and the record itself as the stylus rakes the groove with contaminants... severe huh? In general a proper clean of the record will benefit the sound you hear, and the life span of your records and stylus.

  • Would you reccomend to clean every new used record purchased, before playing it? Would a VG+ record play good (better after cleaned)?

    Thank You
