Auf google habe ich Einzelheiten gefunde. Der Dirigent ist 2003 oder 2004 zu 6 Jahren Freiheitsstrafe verurteilt worden,. die er zwischenzeitlich verbüsst haben müsste. In Poznan war dies natürlich ein Riesenskandal. Der chor wurde aufgelöst aber sofort ein Nachfolgechor gegründet mit etwas anderem Namen. Was der Dirigent nun macht, habe ich nicht herausfinden können.

This was a charity performance for Unicef for the orphans in East-Europe after 1991.

13 solist from boychoirs of Europe together with

the Polish Nightingales are singing together.

Can anyone tell me who the distinguished looking gentleman with the thick, square glasses and the long hair is? He is shown sitting in the front row in a few of these Unicef Gala videos. In this one he appears at 0:48. He looks like some very important diplomat or president or something, but I dont know who he is. Can anyone identify him for me? Wonderful video! Very moving!

The gentleman you meant is probable Prof./Jerzy Kurczewski.he wrote the orchestration.Next to him on the right sits Hary van Hoof a Dutch conductor,he was the producer.

In 1991 13 solists of boychoirs in Europe,were singing together with the Polish Nightingales in Warzawa Poland for orphen children in East-Europe (Charity-Concert).
