Absolutely stunning lines on this automobile. I recall reading in the newspaper in Tucson, Arizona in 1971, about a gentleman in Green Valley - 35 minutes south of us, that had 17 1956 Lincoln MK II coupes in his fleet of cars. He boasted about them being the best personal luxury cars he had ever owned and that even with the A/C on in the middle of the Summer in Arizona, the cars would still return 18 MPG on the freeway. I want one with A/C and a hidden up-to-date sound system. Maroon is good.
Thanks Barry for a fine video of what may be the most beautiful car ever built! It is sad this car was discontinued by Ford management so quickly along with the other marketing mistakes made on the super Mercury and Edsel lines, for they had a four door version of the Mark II planned and the convertible version shown here in the video. The late 50's recession was the main culprit in the destruction of the "Big Plan", but the cars remain true post war classics and a major part of Ford History.
5 years ago my Nephew and I were able to see this car at its home. The owner was nice enough to take us out in 30 degree weather with the top down. LOL!!!
Barry, thankyou for a truly stunning viseo piece on what is arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever made & in my opinion even more so as a rag top. Stunning car & video.
A Timeless Classic..........To Bad MAC Killed It But He Had To Answer To The Shareholders After FORD Went Public.

Nice Job! One might wonder why just three copies of the car were made ... because this gave one for each Ford brother (Bill, Henry II, Benson).

supposedly the three started life as coupes that had roofs that were damaged in transport.
