  • This was not recorded in New York.... wtf!???? this was recorded at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit... Who ever posted this is a putz

  • one of the best songs ever

  • this is a good song I wish they could let the rest play.

  • Fucking revolutionary. So ahead of their time. The part at 1:31 where it shows a crowd all joining together and sort of being angry at the same time.. What a freaking amazing experience it must have been to have been at a MC5 concert. Transcending.

  • @DrugStabbingTime Don't forget, they and their manager, John SInclair, were members of the White Panther Party. And when Richard Nixon came to Chicago in 1968, all these band were scheduled to play (among them the MC5) and one by one, all the bands started pulling out, all except the MC5. Neil Young, Phil Ochs and County Joe McDonal were there, but did not perform. Only the MC5 had the balls to go on and they played for 8 hours straight! They did it at great personal risk to themselves.

  • What a ball ☻

They proved you can't keep up this kind of

    intensity for long though.

Not everybody's so lucky as Iggy./

  • C'mon,he ain't as good as he was ,

Only for side one of Fun House, and Raw Power

    makes him immortal,

The man is over 60 yet makes still convincing performances, unlike Mick Jogger (Now THAT'S

    a poser).

Last Stooges LP sucked though....sorry Ron ♫

  • HEY!!! An MC 5 song with more than 4 fucking notes!!!! History on stage, but of course, they're out of tune, as usual

  • Man, you are totally missing the point of this.

  • at least they re not boring like your music

  • @Zlazon37

    Oh bull shit

  • @Zlazon37 that's what makes them great.

  • So did the MC5 influence the birth of punk...I'd say the atitude shown 0:29 pretty much confirms it!

  • Chefdeenoh, ya forgot about Plain Brown Wraper! They got sued by disney cause of there larics"m-i-c-k-e-y-m-o-l-s-d ,thats the drug for you and me,misky mouse get stoned, misky mouse hes the high can,t ya see. they played with MC5,Brownsville ST.and Teddy N. at a place called Sherwood Forest sth. of Flint Mi. at a weekend3day gig called super sunday before they outlawed 3 day concerts.there was some outher bands also.Any ol, stoners remember who? • thanks for your testimonial

  • Good lord! This is the way it should be done.

Check out Mighty High...In Drug City.

  • Yes the audio as you can see, heard is not original, but from the LP "KOTJ"

  • The video might be from that 1969 NY show.

But the audio is from the Kick Out The Jams album.

  • True, but I wish I could hear the real audio from this video! It looks like the type of over-the-top performance The Five were famous for.

  • Yeah. They really kicked em out like no one else. =)

  • This is from a free concert from 1969 on the campus of Wayne State University, they were a series of concerts put on throughout the summer. Mc5, Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, Up, Frut, Brownsville Station, many others, played. Free. It was a great summer.

  • Where did this come from? I was there from 67-69 and saw the 5 many times. This is probably the best, most representative film I've seen yet of the 5 at their most high energy (NOT PUNK!!!) level. Kick Out The Jams.
