@martinbondesson I remember playing this level as a child. I hated it; I couldn't ever get up the stupid clams to the chest. But when I hear this I DO get tears, and I do feel the nostalgia. I think my memory is fonder than the original experience... But I also believe that the greatest way to truly experience both the wonder of playing as a child, and the appreciation that maturity has brought me, would be to see my own child play this level. And I'd help him get up the clams, I'm not a jerk.

I was born in 1996 and has always liked retro games. While everyone was playing playstation 2, I was playing on my NES. Until today Mario World is my favorite, along with Mario Galaxy 2. And that's what I like in Mario games, no matter how old is the game, it will still be a good game. (I say the same for Legend of Zelda)

This goes deeper for me than games... I remember my N64. Got it for Christmas of 1996 with Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64 and Waverace 64.... Everything was so chill back then. I was 9 years old. Not a care in the world. Just 4th grade at my small school and coming home to my N64. Makes me smile, yet a little sad thinking about those times. My grandma was still alive, my dad's health was good, and this game was the most fun I'd ever had. Able to move in 3D... I was thrilled. I miss those days.
