  • Clip 8:06 Veteran missionary, the late Dr Charles Greenaway with his wife seated at his left. Back then there were still a few elderly AoG saints who never compromised on their personal convictions when it came to outward holiness.

  • Evangelist Swaggart sinned just like King David and just like me. We are all sorry for our sins and we resolve with God's grace not to commit them again The Word of God tells us what happended to them. The devil wants to rob us of our victory. Pardon the expression but let him go back to Hell. Let us victoriously rejoyce as these Christians are doing and let us uphold the Lord's anointed servant, Rev Swaggart in our prayers even though it will frost the devils flakes. Glory to God! Jude 24!

  • That's Bro Steve potter directing the choir. He's pastored in Marianna, Fl since 1988. Great guy!!

  • This was the high water mark of Jimmy Swaggart's ministry.

  • I worked for JSM at this time. I worked allot of over time during this Camp Meeting.

  • I DO NOT HATE SWAGGART. I AM STILL VERY HURT. YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I LOVED HIM I HAD EVERY RECORD TAPE BOOK EVER WRITTEN OR SUNG. I THOUGHT HE WAS SO GODLY. WHEN THE FALL HAPPEN I WAS CRUSHED I MEAN IT PUT ME DOWN FOR WEEKS. I HAVE A HARD TIME WATCHING HIM STILL IT IS NOT UNFORGIVENESS TRUELY IT IS NOT...I JUST LOVED HIM SO MUCH.

  • @mbrucker21 Never worship the man, only the God who they are pointing you to. If a preacher is saying follow me, watch out! The true preacher will point you to God, not them. If we worship man, we will be disappointed. Man will fall but a Godly man will repent and be forgiven.

  • Wow, look what we traded for rock concerts and dance teams! Sad isn't it!

  • Jesus I love you,Thank you Jesus ,Thank you Jesus Thank you for the VICTORY.

  • so weird watching this. i was there and was 19yrs old. where did the time go? when swaggart fell into sin i was devastated and humiliated. my family knew how much i admired him. my life spiraled out of control after that. not blaming swaggart, but it's important leaders know young people look up to them. i thought if jimmy can't live holy, there is no hope for me.

  • @bigjim10011 Your faith is in God not the preacher man. God is our hope and salvation.

  • i was there! i was seated lower level just underneath the balcony. i taped this song on a pocket tape recorder i had but the sound has gotten pretty bad over the years. so nice hearing and seeing it in good quality!

  • @bigjim10011 I was there too. I was saved under Bro. Swaggart's ministry and my life was so transformed by the power of God! I actually got to meet and eat dinner with the young man singing barotone, Bryant Cantrel, he was very nice. Was'nt it something in those meeting with the Holy Ghost present?

  • Wow that's the type of music that brings my spirit to heaven. God bless Jimmy Swaggart's ministry . I wish for me to be at one of the cammeetings....

  • I noticed a lot of yankees in the crowd who clap on the downbeat, but how they

gonna learn Holy Roller Worship if they don't come down south to Camp Meeting?

Seriously beloved this was the high point of revival in America and the lukewarm church has been backsliding ever since. People got too prosperous and life was too easy they didn't need God. But those of us who were there will carry that great anointing in our hearts the rest of our lives. JESUS IS LORD!

  • Okay, okay, okay, c'mon here, folks, we are Pentecostals; we should be clapping on beats 2 and 4 instead of the downbeats.

Anyone know what I'm talkin' about? ;-)

  • At 8:27 above the CampMeeting banner. Is that a seating area?

  • yes. there are bleachers (such as in a stadium) up there. if you look at 1:36, you can see it full of people.

  • My wife and I were there last summer for Youth Camp. We sat in Balcony though we did not need to. I tried to imagine what it would be like full like this. I have been told when full the Sanctuary will seat more than 7500 people.

  • I woke up every sunday to Jimmy Swaggart. and he was indeed a great man of God.. I felt so sorry for him. but we all have sinned. and so many has gone back on God as a christian. so with this being said let us stop throwing stones and just love one another and hope we all make it to heaven. God Bless!

  • THIS ONE IS GREAT. LOVE THE SONG.

  • fred johnson, and he has some videos on here...his page name is fredjohnsonministries or fredjohnsonministry and yes...he was WONDERFUL! I love to listen to him sing Where could I go but to the Lord and also I keep on falling in Love with Him

  • His name was Fred Johnson. He has a ministry in Texas. I actually spoke with him about two years ago, inquiring if he traveled to churches for concerts and if would be available for recording (to which he said yes). One of his more popular songs is on Swaggart's "One more time live" album singing "where could I go". And yes, I do remember him. The first gospel song I learned to play on the piano was "wait till you see", a song that he did. Do a search for him on Google, you should find him :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!!

  • I was there. Despite the storm that was then brewing, It was an awesome time with the Lord and the preachers. I remember one of the messages "thanksgiving with Paul" a message for such a time as this.

  • Dudley is AWESOME! As is the rest of the singers with Brother Jimmy!! May the good Lord bless them all!!

  • who would want to sing to old jimmy reptile

  • Oh how this brings back memories. I was at this Campmeeting with my parents and sisters. We drove from Indiana to Baton Rouge to go to this. If you notice how packed the balconies are, when the crowd was standing and clapping, dancing, jumping, etc. you could feel the natural "give" that it was built with. What an exciting time we had. Very blessed to see this, especially since Dad went "Home" to be with the Lord only 3 short years later. Thank You for posting these videos!

  • Dudley Smith? Is that you Brother? Just so you know, your music ministry has touched my life even here in Jamaica (especially "BornAgain". Keep on singing for Christ.

  • I want to thank Lucia for posting these videos. They gave me such encouragement and the good memories of being a part of the Jimmy Swaggart Crusade Team. I will alway be greatful for that precious experience.-Dudley Smith

  • Partner if that's really you, your voice is definitely anointed. From about age 8, until the present, if your voice ever comes over a speaker, like John's, Janet's, Thomas', Ted, I can instantly tell who it is. You guys were so very instrumental in developing my ear. I thank God for you. I always told my wife what it was like as a child there, and it brings tears to my eyes to see this, as I never thought I would see it again.

  • @dudleysmith52 your singing is wonderful and i can see god's love on your face.

  • @dudleysmith52 I'm so glad to hear how much you appreciate the videos.

  • God bless brother Swaggart, he is one of the biggest preachers in the history of the church.

  • It's coming! It's coming! Get ready! It's coming! Glory to Glory!
