The "Keynesians" who go on the telly are usually devotees of Samuelson's reformulation of Keynes in terms of Walrasian marginalism (a feat comparable to reformulating Kepler in terms of Ptolemaic epicycles), rather than people who are actually familiar with Keynes and Minsky.

Austrian economics is the closest to basic mathematical truth. Ludwig von Mises predicted the Great Depression, for instance, based on the Fed Reserve's currency inflation and deflation. It's science.
