i have bodyboarded for 26 years , i have never had any inclination to stand up , as i prefer charging barrels that are otherwise too fast , or shallow for the local stand up chargers .

BUT . . .

i have recently converted to "the dark side" having had a run of 6 months of flat surf and always seeing guys out with their mals getting mad little waves that go on forever , and i tell you , it is like being born again , i have the same stoke as i once did as a grom and it is simply awesome !

@NarleyDude07 Same. Been bodyboarding for 15 years now. im 30. Recently made the switch to longboarding. It's all whole new stoke feeling like u said. Im now starting to drop into bigger waves and it's great! But we bodyboarders can drop into anything gnarly! I love that! Sponger forever.
