@funkyfresh1131 The game certainly wouldn't be as fun if the majority of it were in a moving vehicle. In a vehicle the zombies would hardly be able to touch you, therefore making the game to easy. However, on foot there are many near-death moments, making the game more intense.

I don't really understand why gamers have to go through all this mess. why not play it for fun, not to play it for how good it is or how it's recommendation is. i don't know if i consider myself a gamer, because i usually have to wait a year to get a new game. i just got star wars and army of two now and those games were out for about 1-2 yrs. now. the only games i was able to keep up with was RE5, inFAMOUS, and Madden 10.

well, Valve hates the ps3, they hate making games for it. All valve games on the ps3 where ported by EA for a quick buck. The 360 is kinda like the pc so its easier for them on that console. They are looking to get a ps3 team, but they are not looking for them, they want someone who is just well rounded dev on both pc and ps3, plus they need several of this miracle worker.

L4D2 couldn't POSSIBLY have been an add on in the first place. They changed the technology, gameplay elements and graphics. You can't add that onto an existing game.

You cheapskate morons must not know how DLC works, you can only add, that's why it's and ADD-on. You can't change the game against the player's will, and what about the 360 users what are they supposed to do when they have to pay to use well over half of the games content?

Also, there's new DLC coming out in March 2010/April 2010 called The Passing. It takes place between Dead Center and Dark Carnival. It 's where Nick, Ellis, Coach and Rochelle meet Zoey, Bill, Francis and Louis from Left 4 Dead 1. There's even new Uncommon Common, Melee weapons and firearm.

If you watch the stuff on the original L4D disc they basicly say that they were under budget constraints, but since it was such a hit for the year they probably had a bigger budget to work with for L4D2 so that probably accounts for it looking better. As far as the game engine that valve used to run their game its better then the Unreal engine I think so their really wouldn't be much reason to change it inless they were to find something better.

@dymensionprod I Found L4D 2 to be WAYYYY more satisfying and fun than L4D 1. But, as DSP said, it's way harder. And as DSP also said, there is new game modes, and on top of that, the survivors have more personality and the graphics are better. New guns, new special infected, and of course, as you said, better, all around more realistic maps. The flash flood in Dead Rain is really a nice touch and change of scenery from L4D 1.

I disagree with Phil on L4D2 being 60 dollars worth.

All the new stuff that was being put into the game was from ideas from the community itself and those ideas were made for L4D, not L4D2. Like anti-corner camping, closet-camping etc. etc.

What Valve did was they took those ideas, put them into a new game and basicly said: ''If you want to play without corner-camping and such, you have to buy this game!''

But then again, they do tons of stuff for us for TF2 so it balances out.
